A client's canvas painting was damaged in a move from the Palm Springs area to Folsom. It became a…read morechallenge to locate an artist long distance to complete the needed repairs. I called and left a message and received a call back promptly. I sent pictures of the damage and received an approximate estimate to repair the damage. Mustafa met the client, picked up the painting, and did the necessary repairs. He kept me well informed through the process. Once he finished the work, he texted pictures to me and made arrangements to return the painting to its owner. The owner was beyond satisfied with the quality of the repair work. Matthew was so easy to work with in terms of communication and providing direction prior to our event. Matthew also came early to set up the canvases nicely. Matthew was patient with each of us during our two hour session (and in a heat wave, with gloves and masks on!). The guy also cleaned up super fast, without a trace! We weren't sure how popular a caricature artist would be at our wedding since most of the guests were older. Jon was a TOTAL HIT! Literally every single guest had their caricature drawn, and at the end of the night everyone was RAVING about how amazing and fun he was! He made the guests feel very comfortable and actually asked guests if they wanted a specific theme or style to their drawings which was really nice. All the caricatures were also fairly flattering and true to form. Nothing was overly mean or exaggerated like some artists draw which is perfect for an event like a wedding. During the event, Jon connected up a webcam and streamed his work to a TV (which is all part of his typical set-up) so that people waiting or nearby can watch as he draws. This was a really nice touch as it provided some entertainment for everyone and also is a great way to get people interested in having their caricatures drawn! Jon himself is an absolute pleasure. He is so friendly and sociable. He got along well with all of the guests and he was so fun to work with in person. All in all, everyone loved Jon. He was practically the only thing our guests talked about it because they were so excited by it. Logistically, Jon is easy to work with, and I was able to set up everything through email. He offers several different packages to meet different needs and price points which is very nice. He also allows you to pick a border or logo to have printed onto the paper if you want. On the day of, he brings absolutely everything he needs. All you need to do is supply him an area and some power. He even has his own tent if it's an outside event and raining. He offers several suggestions / means to deal with line control as well. Since we had a smaller group, we opted to have people just line up or jump in when there was an opening. He can also do a ticket system or a signup sheet with times if that may work better for you. Jon was also really flexible. We weren't sure what time to have him come as it depended on the weather, and he was perfectly ok with a last minute decision. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jon to anyone looking for some entertainment for their event! He is an AMAZING caricature artist and is really wonderful to work with.

She uses mainly Acrylic Paint and a knife to paint and has a gift for perspective, color, and balance. I was especially impressed by her subtle use of blue in a small painting of birches, which really pops out at you almost like 3D. I know too how difficult painting water can be and she tackled that nicely in a recent boat painting. Again I was both surprised and pleased by her use of color here. I am getting ready to publish a new book of poetry and hoping that I will be able to talk Lisa into doing some painting that will capture the mood of my work! Keep your eye on this young lady!
