I am so happy we hired Matthew for my cousins 30th birthday party, the paint event was definitely the highlight of the night. Everyone, young and old, and with varying levels of creative skill enjoyed painting along with Matthew. He arrived early to set up and wore a mask for the entire event. He was very conscientious in following COVID guidelines, which we appreciated because there were a few individuals 65+ in attendance. We chose the mountain scene which was great fun to paint. He was very attentive and helpful the entire event - refilling paint and bringing fresh brushes, etc. Highly recommend hiring him for your next event. Matthew was amazing- he helped create a customized New Orleans-themed work for us to paint. Matthew brought sound equipment and had a playlist to match our NOLA theme, which played softly in the background as he taught us different paint techniques. Matthew was so easy to work with in terms of communication and providing direction prior to our event. Matthew also came early to set up the canvases nicely. Matthew was patient with each of us during our two hour session (and in a heat wave, with gloves and masks on!). The guy also cleaned up super fast, without a trace! Matthew was very engaging, and each of the participants commented about how he was the nicest instructor! Matthew also reached out a few days later to make sure everything went smoothly from our perspective. Matthew created two murals for one of my group homes. The home houses teens who happen to be members of the LGBTQ community. These young people have experienced an inordinate amount of trauma and strife and are struggling to establish their identity and create a sense of home and security for what is often the first time in their lives. The murals Matthew painted have gone a long way toward making the house a real home. The artwork is colorful, fun, vibrant and powerful; everything the teenagers look for in a message. Matthew completed what we needed done and in a very short amount of time. He did such a great job, the painting really looks like my daughter and she loves it.
