We went there last Friday for lunch. They were quite slow serving, although the restaurant was nearly empty. Despite that, the food was nice, my risotto a little bit scarce for what I payed, but the pizzas my parents had, seemed nice. When it came to paying there were two issues, first one was that the waiters wouldn't look our way for us to ask for the bill, despite being one of the few tables busy at that time. After a while, when they did and brought us the account, we discovered that, apparently, they will add an 'optional' 10% charge to your bill, but they will not make it clear to you that it is, actually, optional. The bill is misleading and makes you think that that is the amount you need to pay. When asked about it, the waiter didn't explain it clearly until straightforwardly asked: 'Is it, or is it not optional?' That made us feel as if it was some kind of scam. It is written on the menu, but stating it more clearly would surely help.
Anyway, we decided to give this restaurant a second chance, as my parents had seen a dish with mussels that seemed really delicious and they wanted to try it so, seeing that the timetable states from 12 p.m. until late, we decided to drop by on Sunday, for dinner. It was 9.02 p.m. when we went through the door and were, not so nicely, informed that the restaurant was closed. When I pointed out to the guy at the desk about the 'late' word on the door, he simply answered that they had been working the whole day without pause and that 'late' meant that they could close whenever they want to, without any customer having any right to complain about it, as 'late' is open to interpretation. I am sorry, but I clearly don't agree with this philosophy for a business. A restaurant is supposed to be there to serve food and, if you want to go home when you are tired, simply put the time that the restaurant will close at and be clear about it. The excuse that was given to me as a means of justifying it (saying that most of the other restaurants would also be closed) won't work, as the rest of the restaurants state, clearly, that they close at 9 p.m. What you got with this behaviour is to leave a seriously dissatisfied customer. It is a pity because the food quality and the location are really nice.
Y ahora el resumen en castellano. La comida esta bastante bien, pero es cara y son muy lentos. Ademas, te incluyen un 10% "opcional" en la cuenta y te lo hacen parecer como si fuera obligatorio, a menos que les preguntes muy especificamente (tuvieron la decencia de no mentirnos). Para rematar, el horario (de 12 hasta tarde) lo unico que significa, en palabras de los camareros del local, es que pueden cerrar cuando quieran sin que nadie les pueda reclamar que tienen que servirles.
