"No good deed goes unpunished"
Needed 2 simple banners with one-line lettering only for a parade float. Proof came back with an image and lettering on two-lines. Not what was asked for but decided to send over team logo that is used for print to replace image that "The Designer" decided to add. Received an email 30 minutes before closing that banners were ready. Arrived at store just before closing to pick up banners that had already been paid in full at time of ordering. Trusted that everything was good and started to leave with banners without looking at them. Owner made a comment that I should make sure the look okay before I walked out the door which was a red flag. Owner unrolled the banners to reveal a pixelated image, the image that I had supplied to replace the image that "The Designer" and Owner, Len, had decided to add to the banner out of the goodness of his heart. I was shockingly appalled but thought that maybe, just possibly with the banners going on a Christmas parade float in 2 days (Sunday), and with the sign shop closing in 5 minutes (Friday) that folks wouldn't notice the pixelated images. I took the banners out of desperation and furiously reprimanded myself as I walked to my car for paying in full at the time that I ordered the banners. I delivered the banners to the folks that worked so diligently on our first time ever Christmas Parade Float and they said the banners were unacceptable. Looking back, I ask myself, how could 2 simple banners with one-line lettering only turn into such a negative experience? And then I hear, "No good deed goes unpunished" and I realize, if "The Designer"/Owner who made this statement had followed my simple instructions then I wouldn't be sharing this review.
