Luckily, the worker and work quality and timeliness was very good. I didn't have time to wait for others so I conceded and hoped for the best. Fast forward, drippy faucet problem: Called them to replace 4 bathroom faucet cartridge assemblies ($8.59 at ACE each), replaced and the shower handle assembly (approximately $79.00 each on Amazon). I had purchased the assemblies but didn't have time to do the job. The plumber shows a little late to job, has to provide a quote from the owner prior to starting work, and within twenty minutes later after returning to his truck tells me the job will be over $1,300.00. Needless to say, I was shocked and I said no. Within a few seconds after leaving, I was emailed a "dispatch fee Invoice for over $100.00). This appointment was scheduled weeks in advance. Buyer beware with this company and its owner Anthony. I was warned by others but my first experience was very good work and it was an emergency. My next email is too the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) .

Johnson, and they were close by, so I called them. They arrived on time and began the task of replacing filters and orifices on his Buderus boiler and hot water unit. During this work, the tech attempted to fire up the furnace using the digital "aquastat" (a sort of thermostat) on the furnace itself. Then he realized he was missing one of the correct filters, so the tech had to return to complete the routine job-which he did-and handed my dad a bill for nearly $600, which my dad paid immediately. As the technician was about to leave, my dad asked "aren't you going to fire it up to check it?" He tried-and it was dead. Th hot water heater fired up, but the furnace did not. He was unable to determine the cause. So he assured us someone more knowledgeable would contact us with an appointment to identify the problem. The service manager, Ron, came and determined that the reason the furnace was dead was due to a bad Aquastat. He claimed "they blow easily, just like a light switch". Mind you: the furnace worked just fine before A Johnson came to do a routine maintenance. So A Johnson sent us an estimate for $1030.31 for repair. Yes. $1030.31-AFTER paying around $580 for a routine maintenance which left his furnace disabled (see attached). After calling to complain that it seemed unfair-that the furnace was working just fine until they showed up-their owner called back and said he understood, and would give me "VIP PRICING". It was reduced to $791.16. (See attached) I definitely felt like a VIP. No, I did not allow them back. In fact I had another company do the work for HALF that amount. Just horrible practice. Gouging a senior citizen on a fixed income. A Johnson , I learned later -was bought by a larger company and their 'hand are tied' in some regards. Nevertheless. I'll never do business with them again.
