After two uses the green coating started to wear and the base leather show through. I contacted Stefano at the shop who totally dismissed my issues and said I'd left it soaking in water which was completely outrageous given I spent a huge amount of money! He tried to sell my another bag but refused to acknowledge any problem. I am left with an expensive bag which cannot be restored without significant cost. This is an outdoor bag which should be resilient and strong enough to cope with weather conditions not something for display in a glass case. I bought an Italian product assuming quality and got a very poorly manufactured item rubbish quality and a complete rip off. No acknowledgement of customer issues and no customer service. If you are looking to buy proper Italian craftsmanship look elsewhere.

The entire sales staff was so incredibly patient and kind to me. They might have noticed me every single time I happened by longingly looking at this beautiful necklace. Giovanni and Isabella are third generation and their family has been in the Bellagio and Lake Como region since 1910. That kind of longevity speaks for itself but let me add that rarely have I been treated so well by any sales staff anywhere in the world. They were patient and kind, funny and relaxed and let me come to the decision on my own without becoming frustrated at me. Thank you so much. I was worried it was too expensive so discouraged myself and kept walking. The shops finished and I ended up turning back and slowed down as I approached the shop again. I stopped and gawked at it for what felt like forever.. finally I took the plunge and in I went. The man at the counter was very accommodating and helpful, explaining when it was made and where (70's Napoli), and how to claim duty free at the airport for it- all in English and so polite! From memory it was 700 euros but.. I got it! I've never gone one day without wearing it- it's like my best friend! They had soooo many wonderfully unique pieces in there, I long for the day I can go back and find another amazing gem.

Good quality pens, original oil paintings, jewelry, glassware, on and on. You could spend a great deal of time in here looking at everything. The woman behind the counter asked if she could help me and I told her I was interested in the glass plate. She went directly to the display in the shop and brought a large selection to the counter for me to select from. (This conversation was conducted in Italian but she did understand English) They came in several colors and a couple of different styles. I made my selection, she wrapped it in bubble wrap, I paid and was out the door in plenty of time to get to the ferry! I spied a very cute pair of earrings by the register and wished I had time to check them out further. Probably good I was in a hurry. Congratulations because you found the spot. My wife and I stopped by and we were treated so well by the multi-generation family owners. Not only do they treat you like old friends but they've been hand-making the very shoes you're trying on and purchasing for generations. How often can you say that? We bought a pair and decided to wear them to dinner later that evening. During our walk home that evening we kept raving how comfortable the form-fitting the shoes were. First time wearing them and we experienced ZERO discomfort. In fact, we felt our feet getting more and more comfortable with each step! We loved them so much we found ourselves back at the shop the following day purchasing even more shoes!
