Concrete Overlay, LLC did an amazing job on my small back porch. They came out on a Saturday to sand everything down and apply the first coat, then returned Sunday from about 8 to 1 to finish the coating. They even stopped by again on Tuesday just to check on the drying and make sure everything looked right. They worked around my schedule, were respectful the entire time, and my dogs absolutely loved them -- which says a lot. They're a small company, but their professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. The price was right, the process was smooth, and the results are fantastic. I'll be attaching before and after photos because the transformation speaks for itself. Highly recommend.

And a year or so later, when we had them back to perform some minor repair and resealing of our entryway and back patio, we remained very pleased with their service. However, we had additional areas that needed repair, and I initially reached out to them to fix these areas in late November (2024). I've been getting the runaround ever since, and to date, this repair has yet to be scheduled. I'm confident they will not be contacting me, as I forewarned them that they could look forward to a less than flattering Yelp review. So they digressed from what would have been a five-star review, down to a two-star review...caveat emptor.

The office agreed to inform me of their work crew's arrival so I would be present to SHOW the worker, but administration mostly did not follow through; the property often did not receive the agreed care. When some of my plants started to decline, I had to hire an arborist at my own expense. I intended to give the owner a 'heads up' in writing regarding the crew's pruning deficiency when our honeysuckle kept getting butchered until it subsequently died, the response was unprofessional: he said it was due to my over-fertilising it, replaced it and cancelled the service agreement.... just too much for him to deal with an unhappy customer.

Getting responses from Jose was like pulling teeth! We had to follow up for status updates multiple times, we asked multiple times about how to go about ordering a door for our shower and were told "not to worry" because we didn't need to order one until the job was finished, and then we waited almost a month for them to come back and finish painting the bathroom after they damaged and repaired a wall. I'm not sure if they are just taking on too much work, but it was a very frustrating experience. My biggest complaint is that we requested an estimate for additional work at least 3 times and they NEVER EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED that request, even though it was sent by email, text, and over the phone. We really wanted to like this company as Jose is very nice and I'm sure we will need a good contractor for whatever comes up in our home in the future. But we will not be using Kahuna Renovations again.

I find out that they have been heavily reviewed on Angie's List and have just started promoting their business on Yelp! Needless to say I was super impressed and happy with their customer service, quality of work and communication. They cut and installed granite counter tops, backsplashes and bars in 3 condos and did a beautiful job. Their prices were reasonable, they showed up when they said they would, they worked with me on any issues that came up and made sure I was happy. I am definitely going to use them again but I know with this level of quality and expertise that they are going to get busy! (Good for them! They deserve this success!)
