Right from…read morethe start, we had a good feeling about working with Armando as they took the time to really think about our basement, and listen to what we wanted from the space, and to then draw up multiple options for us to look at. They put together an estimate and then contract that were both clear and gave us a good understanding of what we were looking at from a cost standpoint, including the places where its common to upgrade and where that could impact the price along the way. We had to wait a few weeks for the job to start since they were already working on another job, but Armando was always very communicative about how that project was going and the expected start date. After we got started everything was very smooth and we were kept in the loop all along the way. They had a port-a-potty on site and went in and out through the basement window so we only saw them when there were questions, or when there were large items they needed to bring in down the stairs like the drywall, granite, etc. We've worked with some companies where the "sales" person you see at the beginning is never seen or heard from again, but Armando was there, on-site and on the phone with us the whole time. There were a few things that were sub-contracted, but it was clear that Armando was the one running the job, and worked with us directly throughout the entire project. Along the way, a number of choices came up and Old West Construction was very helpful in providing us with options, including additions to the original scope of work (we ended up using them to replace our 20 year old furnace and AC as a part of the project, decided to add extra soundproofing, etc). They were never pushy but still willing to make recommendations when we wanted one, which was very helpful. It's easy to be happy with the company you picked when everything is going great, but the real sign of a great company is how they are when things go sideways. We ended up changing direction on a fireplace addition after getting pretty close to picking one out, and Armando and team had no problem reacting to our change of heart. Later in the project, we noticed that a stain color was wrong, and they immediately confirmed that it was the wrong color, and sanded, and re-stained everything the next day, no further questions or discussion needed. The quality of the basement is fantastic throughout, from a custom sump-pump knock out, to a custom wood wrap covering a steel beam, to the bedrooms and bathroom and everything else. Every detail is perfect. Aside from the house itself, this was our single biggest purchase / projects ever, and we could not be any happier that we chose to go with Old West Construction. If you're considering finishing or remodeling your basement, do yourself a favor, and go with Armando and Old West Construction, you'll be glad you did.

During the demo of the back patio it was brought to our attention that there was a very large extended hole/cave, for lack of a better word, underneath our sunroom. Matt said no worries he could take care of it and fill it in with more concrete. Of course it changed the price but I felt very confident that if this happened with another company it would have really bumped up the price or I would have had to call another company, like one of those companies that lift the foundation and have them come in and fix it before work could be completed. He figured my roof should be good for another 5 years and that I should call them back then for another assessment. He told me that the bad news is that he won't be replacing my roof so he won't have my business at this time, but he's now made a customer out of me for being so honest! Scott is a veteran and has been in the roofing business for 40 years working locally out of Mead. The only feedback we have is that we had hoped to work together to resolve a misunderstanding regarding something we needed done for the project that turned out not to be included in the original estimate, and was a little disappointed that they didn't follow up about the issue at the end of the project. We believe that if there had been a little more communication at the end of the project, their service could have been even more exceptional. Unlike other contractors who bid on the same job, Trinity carefully examined the issue to understand possible root causes, and then talked me through exactly what they would do and why it would prevent the issue from returning. Trinity's bid wasn't the cheapest, but their reputation and communication made me much more confident in the investment, and I'm glad I chose them over the cheaper options. I highly value communication in a job like this, and Adrian exceeded all my expectations. He talked me through all the options, and shared regular updates about the start date and what to expect. Antonio did a great job knocking out the work, and the end result looks perfect! Initially, we'd planned a big project but scaled it back to fit our budget, and they were so accommodating with re-bidding and adjusting the scope. They tackled several paver landings for us, handled electrical work that was damaged during digging (my fault), and trenched about 70-80 feet to install a spigot at the back of the property. They also replaced a large amount of mulch--about 13 cubic yards--and did a top-notch job. What really impressed us was how adaptable they were. Mid-project, we decided we wanted the entire front yard torn out and resodded. They had a crew out the next day, removed the old sod, brought in topsoil, tilled it, and laid the new sod--all on short notice. They even trimmed a tree outside the original plan and left the property immaculate afterward. Seems like they DO care about their customers, so hopefully will be able to figure out how to avoid these kinds of problems in the future.

I've had WestPro come quote the same job twice, once in 2023 and once in 2025. It was two very…read moredifferent experiences to the point of being hard to believe it's the same company. The job is for removal and replacement of soffits, fascia, gutters and downspouts on a 1-story ranch with 200 linear feet of gutters. In 2023 a woman came out, did the walk through and then sent me a quote with details about the materials, a cost breakdown for each part of the project - quantity and cost for removal of gutters, removal of downspouts, installation of gutters, installation of downspouts. It was very professional (I work with contractors and job bids for a living) and provided all the necessary details of the cost. In 2023 they refused to address the soffit and fascia so I declined to move forward with them. In 2025 a man came out, did the walk through and then insisted on setting up a follow up appointment to walk through the project quote. I did not receive the info packet ahead of time and was disappointed by what I received - a detailed project description for siding work (presumably for the soffits and fascia but the material was specific to siding installation which isn't relevant to either of those locations) with no scoped quote for any aspect of the project. There were no details of the materials to be used or breakdown of the cost specifics. The dollar amounts were hand written into a spec sheet of "good / better / best" (photo attached because I don't even know what to call it, it's definitely not a job quote). I understand that materials costs have changed significantly and the job might cost more today than two years ago, but if you're going to waste my time with a second meeting to quote the job, actually quote the job. So your experience with WestPro may entirely depend upon the person you randomly end up with as your project coordinator. Homeowner be wary. I'll update this review when I've heard back with legit quotes and decisions on a path forward. For now it's a very unimpressed meh.
