I have been to this office for a few months due to lower back pain. At one of my first appointments…read morewith Dr. Sousa, I tried asking her if she thought it was sciatica she told me know. She proceeded to treat me for a UTI (all of the test were negative for a UTI) with antibiotics and a muscle relaxer. The pain continued. A cat scan was ordered and everything was clear. The pain continued. I was given a toradol shot at one of my appointments which helped a lot. The pain came back. I seen the new provider Gem about 2 months later. I explained that I was about to get married and needed to do something about the pain. Gem diagnosed me with sciatica. I was given toradol pills and more muscle relaxers. The pain CONTINUED. She tried to refer me to physical therapy which I declined at the visit due to having a bad experience with HCA physical therapist. She still sent in a referral to them and apparently wanted me to see a neurologist for SCIATICA. My care was neglected for months. This effected my life tremendously. I wasn't able to properly care for my home and the pain was debilitating. I finally made an appointment with a highly recommended chiropractor (Jennifer). She immediately diagnosed me with a lumbar bulge that is the cause of pseudosciatica. She suggested that my PCP give me a steroid and that I would be better and after 3 weeks I can go back to regular activities. The day before I seen the chiropractor I requested a steroid (which should have been given at the first appointment with either provider). Gem DECLINED the steroid stating that she referred me to neuro and PT. I didn't need either of those this I just needed a steroid. I am finally starting to feel better, with no thanks from this office.

My son with serious health issues had an appointment here. They cancelled on the day of the…read moreappointment because the doctor called out sick. On top of that, they said their system was down and couldn't reschedule then. So later I rescheduled and now day of the appointment, they canceled again. They have multiple providers and yet they cancel repeatedly? I used to work in healthcare and I know providers calling out and canceling repeatedly is not normal. They must have serious internal personnel issues. Hence I would not go to such an unprofessional and unreliable practice. Also, both times happened on a Friday. It makes you wonder if they just want a three day weekend. My son has now lost two days pay and has no provider to treat him a month later.
