THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED We booked this hotel almost a year ago…read moreafter buying Taylor Swift tickets. As anyone who follows her knows, prices for hotels where she performs increase exponentially in price and book up quickly. We received a confirmation email 48 hours before arriving and then pulled up tonight and the hotel is CLOSED. There are chain link fences all around it and the phone line is disconnected. At this point most hotels in a 20 mile radius are sold out or if they're not, they are 4x the normal price. We called Wyndham customer service who tried to contact the hotel and couldn't, so she transferred me to another line which was automated and I left my information and they told me I would hear back within a week. That doesn't help me TONIGHT. After scrambling, we found a hotel with one room available and are paying 4.5x the price we had booked this hotel for. This was NOT in our budget for this trip. I'm extremely upset in the lack of communication. We had a confirmation email 2 days ago. No one at Wyndham would help us when we called. I will be escalating this and honestly feel we deserve some kind of compensation for all this hassle.

I love the lobby and the beautiful chandelier that greets me upon entry. There is a mini business…read morecenter that sits just in the corner of the lobby, immediately by the front entrance. It leaves little room for privacy. We checked in with Tyler, who was the sweetest and most helpful front desk person I have ever encountered. He was very thorough in letting us know the happenings in the surrounding areas. We were checked in on the first floor in Room 110. The stench of mildew is what my nose identified, but I figured it was the carpet and the lack of A/C in the room. We turn on the A/C to High/Cool; however, the only response the unit gave us was a hum, nothing else. We could barely feel the air so I called the front desk, Tyler asked me to give it five minutes so that it would kick on. Well, five minutes came and went, I heard the kick but no change in the amount of air that was blowing out. I called the front desk back to be moved to another room. Tyler checked two rooms and finally moved us to the third floor (Room 306) in which the air was operational and the room location was feet away from the elevator. There were a few things I was not pleased about, especially after paying $137 for one night. There were holes in the sheets, no towels nor washcloths (Tyler did bring some up when he escorted us to the room), it was dusty around the TV area and there were several stains on the bedding decor. This hotel should NOT be charging this much a night as it is not in a central location. I was disappointed with myself for passing up a $98 express deal on priceline. We will most likely never stay here again for this price. I forgot to mention that a free continental breakfast is served from 5AM to 9AM. I slept right through it, but I did see two waffle irons and a sizeable breakfast room.

Super…read morefriendly front desk staff...Southern warm welcoming vibes :) The location was recently built so everything still had the new car smell :)) I appreciate the fact that the front desk don't turn their nose up at me because of my room specifics, not by the exit stairs or elevators AND don't assign me an ADA room uuug! I didn't feel the need to look at my room first because every room is still nice. I also like hotels that have a large t.v. and mounted on the wall. Friendly staff will always lure me back and overlook "thats just the way it is". The location is in walking distance of several restaurant options and service stations. Thanks guys for a pleasant weeks stay! Did I mention they have motorcoach parks and street parking if ya choose! Here today! There tomorrow!

First time here and a little out of town but without the New Orleans prices. Great front desk…read morestaff. Rooms are a little aged and have funky smell like a super cleaner or something. The carpet could stand replacing in the room. Actually thinking the smell that is on the whole 3rd floor could be from new carpet in the hallway. My biggest pet peeve is NO hard line Ethernet only Wi-Fi which is never as fast. The rooms still have the cables, but they have cut off service. They don't realize some device like the Amazon Kindle is very much a pain to get on their Wi-Fi. You have a code but has to be entered on there webpage. The Kindle is just one of many devices that has a really poor browser and without internet it doesn't want to connect most of the time to their page. We had to wait till we are somewhere else were you can just connect like Starbucks or McDs. I could create a hotspot from the MacBook if I had the hardline. Neither of our cellphone plans include hotspots. Like the dual pillows pick hard or soft. The bed was also very good. OK what's with not being able to an ice machine on every floor. It's a 3 story building and only the 3rd floor doesn't have an machine (really) or washing machine. They have Cox cable and you get all the HBO and more so huge credit for that. Our room had a mini microwave and the small refrigerator both were handy. Down to food only got bacon one day they seem to like the sausage links and turkey sausage patties. They did have chocolate milk. They have popcorn machine which is nice in the evening. They are close to several good eating spots. New Orleans Food and Spirits is great. The only thing keep this from a 4 star review was the smell in the room and 3rd floor. We checked in another Holiday Inn after leaving and there was NO smell at the new location.

Check in was quick and personable. We were told about breakfast and coffee/tea/hot chocolate available 24 hours a day. It appears to be a new hotel. Everything was maintained like new, modern, and sparkling clean. My room had two comfy beds, fridge, microwave, mini coffee maker, full sized hair dryer and nice toiletries. There is also a small indoor pool and a fitness center. Parking was well lit and easy. An incredibly easy drive into downtown NOLA where we had business and have to have a large vehicle with us made this a real plus for us. Breakfast included cheese omelets, fresh redskin potatoes, smoked sausage, yogurt, cereal, grapefruit, cantaloupe and pineapple as well as whole fruits. A selection of pastries with toppings for oatmeal and more were available. I will definitely be returning here on our next visit - superb staff, clean, exceptional property and a real value in the NOLA area.

I had very good experiences in most of them, but this time, it was terrible. We were running low on the shower gel, so I asked the cleaning lady for a new bottle. She said she MUST be the one to hook it up in the shower, but my husband was taking a shower, so I told her that we know how to hook it up because we had done it, but she refused, said that she must have the old one first!! We paid $730 for 4 day stay, $178 per day!! They were worried that we could " steal " a bottle of shower gel??? Hampton Inn is by Hilton Hotel!! Does Hilton think that we would steal a bottle of shower gel, when we paid $730 staying there??? Because we didn't get the shower gel, we would wash our bottom parts with shampoo so we could save the shower gel for our bodies! Maybe Hilton should retrain the managements to be more flexible and more understanding of their customers.

As an ambassador, I was disappointed to be placed in an interior room with a window looking directly into another window and concrete walls, but overall this was a good value and a great location. Located in the French Quarter and close to Canal Street and the street car, a little over a mile from Marigny/Bywater. The king suite was large, spacious, and clean. Bathroom with a tub. Bed was a little hard for my taste, but again clean and crisp linens. Equipped with a refrigerator to house booze or leftovers. Hallways can get a little loud with drunk people and slamming doors, but I imagine that's many places in NOLA. Secure. I didn't note any free breakfast (who wants hotel breakfasts in New Orleans anyway?), but there is a Starbucks in the lobby with plenty of seating. Front desk staff were alway kind and accommodating and did acknowledge my ambassador status (not that I care about that, but I know it's one of their metrics). Well stocked pantry with lots of drinks (gotta stay hydrated in New Orleans) and snacks and basic necessities. I got the ambassador 4 PM checkout without issue.

The room was cleaned quickly and thoroughly daily. The location is great, walking distance from anywhere in the French Quarter but tucked along a quiet street. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and gracious the whole time. One night I had a big fall on Bourbon Street (I'm sure they happens quite a bit) that I didn't realize cut me pretty deep until I was back at the hotel. I called the front desk at 1am to see if they had bandaids/first aid equipment and they brought up some bandaids and alcohol wipes within a few minutes. That was a nice gesture and so convenient, I was prepared to change again to run to a CVS nearby but they saved me that trip. We would for sure book this hotel again for a future trip to New Orleans.

First of all, no fire alarm!! I guess it was because for a non-smoking room they actually allow people to smoke because the smell doesn't lie. room stunk. sheets were dirty. thank goodness we had our own. holes in curtains taped. Tub gross floor disgusting. So, when i sent a message to Wyndham about the room the manager called worst customer service ever asked me why i stayed. why have you ever had to pay for two rooms in one week no i went got my own sheets and made the best of a terrible mistake save yourself run away. The elevator doesn't like to work either, sounds like it's about to break. scares you half to death and the people that stay long term even laughed because they already knew how bad it was. when we got there the tv didn't work so I was grateful that he did come and fix that and he also sprayed the room down because it was horrible so thanks to him for even recognizing that it smelt bad. but honestly people pictures don't lie don't book here.
