US Davis Tahoe City Field Station…read more Came across US Davis Tahoe City Field Station during my 10-day stay at Lake Tahoe for working company retreat. UC Davis holds special place in my heart. Got excited! Returned twice to check it out and take photos. Walked around the native plant demonstration garden, read all the posted info, in support of environmental research, preserving Lake Tahoe natural ecology & education center. "This is the place to explore, discover and learn about what we can do to keep Tahoe blue." Pretty important place, if you ask me! There's an outdoor pathway around the building and the demonstration garden with native plants. It makes sense to go native, because native plants thrive in natural soil and climate without much of a special effort, extra watering, or fertilization with chemicals, plus they are adopted to native pests! Ericsson Education Center is focused on protective and restorative efforts for Lake Tahoe ecology. It was still closed down for COVID when I visited. There's also Bill Combs Memorial Boathouse on the property. He was a prominent Lake Tahoe advocate who served as a board member for various foundations and helped raise funds for Tahoe research and education. The boats and equipment are used to study the root causes of the decline in Lake Tahoe legendary clarity. I would definitely visit again when I'm back in this area. Location: northbound of Tahoe City on Hwy 28 to Dollar Point. I presume they will keep pre-pandemic work hours for indoor exhibits when the field station re-opens: 8am - 6pm Memorial Day through Labor Day. If you prefer a guided tour, they are given on Saturdays 10am - 2pm and could be arranged by calling 775-881-7566 or via email tercinfo@ucdavis.edu. Pictures posted taken on Sunday 6/13/2021. "Aggie Fight Song" Lift up your voices, now's the time to sing This is the day the Victory Bell will ring Loyal Aggies, all for one Never stopping, 'till we've won Because the Mustang will show our team the way to fight, Charging the enemy with all his might Let's go, Let's win, today's the day The Aggies will Fight, Fight, Fight!

Don't take racheal Bassen for bio or anatomy 223 because she was on her phone on social media…read moreduring lecture hours which is close to 3 hours and he tests don't match her lectures. Example her test for chapter 8 has items from 2 lectures ago and didn't match at all. Her lecture videos are mixed and confusing. It was a waste of my time and money and I felt robbed of an actual lecture experience, which she would get snippy if we weren't studying even though she was on Facebook and instagram. There were only 2 times she actually got up and taught something. Other than that nothing really credible.

Just started some coding classes to get me AS in computer science because I want to learn how to…read morecode, network security, and network analytics. Also programming c+, java, sql, and others. Wnc has the best computer science programs offered out side of unr. But, they are a lot cheaper, the teachers are more chill, and I like the interface more. They are in the works of expanding the already large building, and building out the online program more. The courses use canvas, for online interaction. The classes I have taken so far have no textbooks, and work off certificate training modules, and online forums for open discussion. One class I am taking online, one in person. Both can be basically done from home, with interactive videos and sessions that have been very straight foreword and took me about 5 minutes to figure out their online "canvas" class interaction and for A+ cert IT basics they use "test out". Even if you are taking online classes, you can go to the campus to get help/use laptops. The instructors are very helpful and the TA is willing to work with anyone thats in the computer science program, if they email. One star down for the admission office. Which is a total joke. I sent my transcripts in November, my undergrad school got a confirmation email that it had been opened, and delivered. The admissions office emailed me a week before classes started in January 23, that they never got it. They denied ever receiving anything, even after my undergrad repeatedly said that their records say sent. I had to get both schools on a conference call to find out the office next to the admissions office received it in November and threw it away, and I had to pay for the transcripts to be reordered. Now my personal records are in landfill somewhere for anyone to look over. If you need to transfer credit from an accredited college with your BA and they don't use clearing house (wnc transfer credit program), and they send electronically, it's like pulling your hair out to get anything done.
