After countless attempts with other insurance providers such as Liberty Mutual, Lloyd's of London and my all time favorite WORST experience with InterWest Insurance where I spoke to the laziest sucker known to man - Ryan Taylor. He quoted me 20k more than Ralph Smith at the State Farm Agency and took weeks to respond back to a single message. ‍ How Ryan Taylor at InterWest Insurance is still in business, is beyond me. Being in a frenzy, I NEEDED THE HOUSE COVERED IMMEDIATELY. After finally giving Ralph Smith a call; his wonderful assistant Sara Hathaway put a blanket of protection on my rental property in less than an hour. I'll repeat this because it's important; what the other guys told me would take WEEKS to do, Sara and Ralph did in 1 hour. In fact, I'll just to add the following to the review; I called back InterWest Insurance and grilled Ryan Taylor for trying to FUCK ME OVER on selling me a useless insurance policy that was not only pure garbage but was also over 20k worth of pure garbage. Ryan Taylor at InterWest said to me in response to Ralph Smith doing an amazing job, "Yes, State Farm works much quicker because they can broker AND underwrite their own deals." Thanks Ryan, that information would have been helpful when you were dodging my phone calls for week! ‍ Anyway, I'm thrilled with Ralph Smith and his agency! Their whole family is a dream come true: the office staff genuinely likes each other, they're funny as all hell but they're also hardworking and honest. I couldn't of been happier with my experience and now I have a beautiful piece of property I never have to worry about again because it's fully insured thanks to the Ralph Smith Agency at State Farm.

My rates have can stayed consistently low and I love the friendly office Who I know my name as well as the enemy in my family my name to. It's hard to find that old fashion office atmosphere where you still can get a handshake in person I know someone by name these days. They're always so patient answering every question I may have even if silly taking their time to describe line by line any questions I might have about policies or looking for great quotes. They are always quick to respond over the phone in person or by email. I never doubt my policy or feel like I am being sold or upsold something I do not need. This office truly had a family feel whom I trust and that is priceless these days.

I refused all the paperwork, didn't sign any documents, and the next month they create a policy for me and try to bill me. I could not have objected more or refused more strongly. I already have a policy with a different company and stated this. They decided to just bill me anyway, it's up to me to call now and fight for a refund and waste more time. This is totally sleazy way to conduct business, and I wouldn't trust these crooks to insure me!

To be honest, I had quotes from other than were about $150 less per year, but having this local office and their support is worth the difference. I'd not had any kind of auto claim in more years than I can remember and then literally 5 days after I switched my cars to WW, a semi threw a rock and broke the expensive windshield on my BMW. Of course they believed me (the truth) and there was absolutely no fuss about getting it fixed immediately (big thumbs-up for SafeLite as well). I also feel compelled to speak to the negative reviews which I am absolutely shocked to see. Remember, when someone gripes on Yelp, there's ALWAYS more to the story... and their sole intent is to punish... fairly or unfairly. When someone as nice as William allegedly tells you he doesn't want your business anymore, you KNOW that that's a troublesome customer! No doubt. Or sour grapes because they didn't appeal to their petty ego and grovel to keep them from leaving? Please. And to blame the agent for things that are set by the parent company is both unfair and vindictive. A little self-reflection for these folks might be in order. For me though, in 40 years, I've had plenty of remote/online insurance policies, and two local agents (one of them for the entire 40 years!) The local agents are much better to work with, and WW is awesome, knows his stuff, and helps you out in any way he can.

But as far as the overall package goes, Tri Counties Bank has been awesome. I switched to Tri Counties several years ago, when the mega bank I was with (rhymes with bells bargo) changed their policy, they gave me no interest and they made it more difficult to avoid monthly checking fees. I looked at different local banks and credit unions, and decided on Tri Counties. They really do offer great service. I earn interest on my checking account. It's not a huge amount, but it's better than paying a fee. Though we rarely use ATMs outside of the bank and supermarkets, the ATM fees are refunded as promised. When issues have come up, they have called me personally --something that has never happened with any mega bank I've been with. Online banking and bill pay is easy. And when I discovered some questionable charges on my account, I called them up right away. They acted right away --they cancelled my card and reissued a new one, helped me understand how my number was stolen and gave me good advice for protecting my card in the future, and they refunded the $40 that was stolen from my account.

Then again we were filing pretty late and we did fail to provide a critical document that changed the whole outcome, we had to pay this year... so maybe next year we'll get in earlier and it'll be a better experience. So 3 stars for now, only because they could have given us a bit more personal service. Hopefully next year I can rate 5 stars!
