I had to drive home from Alexandria, so I watched kick off & most of the 1st half there. Quickly made my way home, to Isanti, but found this bar at half time! Wasn't real crowded, and they had a special breakfast menu. They usually open at 11am. 3 items, all 15.00. OK, cool. It was good . Friendly staff, clean, accommodating, and very tasty food. We ordered combinations of steak, shrimp and orange roughy. The grilled roughy was paired with a fresh vegetable/quinoa. All of our meals included fresh green beans with a sweet glaze on them. Tasty! I'm not even a big green beans lover, but they were delectable. Everyone in our party was impressed with the food. There were so many people there, so it was a bit slower, but no one was in a hurry. Brian and the gang here are simply so awesome. They go the extra length to make sure you have a great experience!

(except when the sun blinds you as it gets low in the sky) Need some sound absorbing materials in the ceiling so the waitress doesn't have to holler at you. Half of the menus didn't match the other half but did end having the same items. The service was great and the people great!! Fast service and people knew what they were doing. Waitress picked up on a few things without us saying anything. She was great! Definitely be back as they improve and dial things in. Prices were fair. Apps - The cheese curds and sauce were great. The chicken wings were very good per the group but messy. Just send wet wipes with the plate. They are full size chicken wings, not BW's style. Very large chickens apparently. Drinks: Northwoods Mule was very good, but Long Island Tea was burnt and not great (very light in color). Agnes (sp) Fruit Punch or whatever just tasted like alcohol. Waitress brought a 1/2 glass of juice to add to drink but it still tasted like watered down juice and alcohol. Specialty drinks should be something that are your really good at. Again, probably need some time to dial in. Fish & Chips (walleye strips) were excellent, but fries were soggy and had no flavor. Tiny coleslaw with that was juicy (not creamy) and was good, but I couldn't recognize the flavor. I didn't order the Walleye with cream sauce and mashed potatoes because of capers and am glad I did not. Another did and had to scrape the cream sauce off because the capers. Wild rice and Turkey sandwich sounded good and sweet potato fries had good flavor but undercooked. Salad bar is a nice touch, but please don't forget to fill. Also, please don't put things on far side that when reaching for end up falling into others. Diverse options on menu. Would have liked to try the PB&J burger, but the jelly flavor is "Chili", so that was a pass. Wish restaurants would give options with extreme items like that. Would like to try Swedish Meatball burger. Lingonberries maybe???

Small town bar feel with an updated clean and welcoming look inside with signs of local connections…read moreand street sign type of decor. It's really nice inside, but even better was the super friendly service all around! They had the smoker outside and the special was the smoked brisket sandwich. And it was two for one beers, they even split the 'two for one' between us so we could each have just one more of our own beer choice, that was awesome. We started with nachos and agreed that they were one of the best plates of nachos that we've had in awhile. A full place of meaty and cheesy chips and plenty of toppings. Hubby had the smoked brisket sandwich and said the brisket was done very good. Our son had the Lumberjack Burger that he loved, he loves anything that has maple syrup on it! It was a big burger so he took half of it home and ate it later. I had the jalapeño popper burger, I wasn't sure if the name meant that it would have deep fried jalapeños on it and I'm so glad it didn't. My burger came out with a slice of pepper Jack cheese on it that was still cold except for the edges, but they took it back and warmed it up with a torch, actually to the point of burning the cheese, weird, but even so I loved this burger! It had slices of jalapeños and plenty of cream cheese, it was very good, (it actually didn't even need the pepper Jack cheese slice and not sure where that flavor fit in) then I asked for a side of the spicy berry sauce that they serve with the wonton appetizer and it was complete!! Highly recommend that they add this to the burger, or that you request it. Enjoy!

I've heard great things about this restaurant so I finally decided to try it out after driving by…read moreand noticing it was less busy than usual. The decor is what you'd expect from a bar restaurant establishment and the menu had less options than I was expecting. There was a band playing out back and a very active pull tan crew frequenting the atm in the dining area. Despite this events, it was still early enough that the crowd wasn't very large inside the restaurant. I order a chicken wrap from the menu and my date ordered a burger. The wrap was good, despite it being nothing like the description stated on the menu. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap which should have allegedly had bleu cheese crumbles, guacamole, lettuce, etc. but instead I received a wrap which seemed to be a chef salad with Buffalo sauce tossed in. There was shredded cheese and bacon crumbles among the lettuce to my surprise. The fries were over cooked and tasted as if the oil was on its last fry. Our waitress was very nice when taking our order but unfortunately we did not see her again near our table, not even for refills on our beverages, until it was time to receive our bill so we were not able to address any of our concerns. It was hard to finish my spicy Buffalo wrap without a water refill! I would give this place another chance, but it'd have to be at the request of someone else to go here. With the limited menu selection and the other mishaps I don't see myself returning on my own choice.
