We reserved a space for my husbands birthday. They put us upstairs in the corner which was absolutely perfect! We are away from traffic and was able to social distance ourselves from others. Our server Riley was Phenomenal!! She handled us well considering we were a large party and she was alone. The staff was great! I love that they clean the poles and you have to get them from the cashier. The drinks were great! I had the Sunset and the Cherry Limeade and both had great ratio of alcohol. This was my first time here and I really enjoyed myself! The food was typical Bar food so nothing to scream about but typical good bar food. I do think this is a great place for various occasions. I am unsure how the main floor was in terms of spacing tables and customers. We were away from it all. Overall I look forward to returning maybe for a date night!

My teammate told me not to Yelp about this place and kept telling me this place was good. Well, I felt like I should Yelp about this place anyways. I think the worry was me writing a bad review then nobody wants to go there for a team lunch. My reviews were based on what I thought my entire experience was. It just happened to be not so good in the last place we had a team lunch at another place I won't mention. Anyways, I came here with my teammates for a team lunch on a Friday. The place was empty but there were a lot of tables as well as pool tables. The menu had a lot of items that sounded great so it was hard for me to decide what to order. I was about to order one of burgers then decided to order the Chicken & Steak Fajitas ($14.99 for both chicken and steak, $11.49 for chicken, and $12.49 for steak). Everybody else on my team ordered various things on the menu, but I'm not sure what they were exactly (probably burgers and sandwiches). While we waited for our food to come, some of us went to shoot pool and others just talked with each other. Their pool tables were in okay shape, because I saw part of the table's felt had a rip in it. I guess someone was doing masse shots on the pool table; however, I didn't see any signs that said you couldn't do those types of shots. Our food came out all at the same time. Mine came out last because of the hot plate. The amount of steak and chicken and others on the hot plate was a lot and there were about 5 tortillas. I tried to jam pack each one with as much food as possible but still ended up eating the meat with my fork. I did notice the steak was a little too well done; however, I thought the chicken was pretty good. Overall, good place for some food and for some pool.

When we walked in and it wasn't very crowded so we were able to get a table pretty fast on the selection for happy hour drinks is very few they mostly just have beers. Stephanie was our waitress and I ordered a cherry limeade it wasn't that strong it taste like him more grenadine in it then anything but it's for Stephanie she was great she checked Anna several times while we were here .4 and we really had a nice time there was a tournament going on. So even with that going on I still wasn't that crowded or hard to get a table so I enjoyed myself not my first time here so as you can see I've been back

The food didnt last long...ijs

Sto]ed by for a quick snack and tried the 5 pocket which consisted of:mozzarella sticks, wings, chicken strips and fried mozzarella. Our bartender kept the drinks flowing and was very kind. The pool hall was partially occupied and people were coming in more as I left. Sunday has $10 pool so will be back for that.

We went for later lunch and this place was crowded with diners, always a good sign. The lunch restaurant week menu really intrigued me because it was one of the 3 course options for $20. First course- luscious butternut squash soup One of my all time favorite soups and this one didn't disappoint, I love the autumnal flavors of this soup. The nuttiness shined through the silky smooth soup filled with the richness of cream. It was seasoned wonderfully balancing the inherent sweetness with the right amount of salt and herbs. I would drink this soup up by the gallon. Second course- Classic Chicken Picatta I loved how light this dish was, instead of being breaded it was tender moist chicken, yes it may look a little anemic but it wasn't lacking flavor. The bright lemon caper sauce brought like to the chicken. The abundance of capers made me so happy, they provided a tangy briny profile. The smooth as butter mashed potatoes just soaked up that succulent sauce and every bite had such a luscious mouth feel. This was an elevated comfort dish. Dessert- crème brûlée Now I'm not a dessert girl so I'm not a crème brûlée connoisseur but, it had a nice crackly sugar shell with a decadent eggy custard. The ripe berries were simple but added freshness to richness of the custard.

Odd. We appreciated the heads up however, I feel like they were really wanting us to turn around and leave as the restaurant seemed overwhelmed. We stayed as it was too late in day to go elsewhere. The kitchen was indeed backed up, no silverware provided had to ask, and our server said to order right away if we wanted to get our food. They were out of some items. Took 45 minutes for food to arrive. However, the staff was apologetic, even though it took awhile to be served the meal itself was acceptable --the pork chop, surf and turf, braised meat, and pizza were all hits. Server had to confirm with kitchen if they were still serving dessert, we were able to order. The desserts consisted of banana coconut pie which basically pudding & bananas in a bowl, tiramisu, and Keylime, all were just okay not worth $. The patio is beautiful and perfect for a nice day. It is very expensive, so we'll save it for special personal occasions not a national holiday/special day, but the food quality makes it worth a return visit.

The service continues to be inconsistent at best--no patio service, long waits, and a general lack of attentiveness--but what's most frustrating is the latest beverage and menu decision. You can no longer order a single glass of wine. Instead, guests are now forced into purchasing a half bottle as the minimum entry point--starting around $25--for a very limited and underwhelming selection (Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc... and that's about it). No Pinot Grigio, no variety, no flexibility. Just a forced upsell on mediocre wine in a casual, outdoor setting. Let's be clear: You can order a single beer. You can order a single cocktail. But you cannot order a single glass of wine. In 2026, that's not just outdated--it's completely out of touch. This approach eliminates choice, discourages responsible and casual consumption, and frankly alienates a large portion of your customer base. What if someone wants just one glass? What if they want to try two different wines? That experience is gone. And the reasoning doesn't hold up. If this is about waste or throughput, there are countless modern solutions--by-the-glass preservation systems, or even high-quality boxed options like Black Box Wines that maintain freshness without forcing customers into higher spend. This feels less like a thoughtful strategy and more like a blunt, revenue-driven decision that ignores the guest experience entirely. So here's the question for leadership: Who is making these menu and beverage decisions--and how does this align with the kind of experience you claim to offer? Because from a guest perspective, this isn't hospitality. It's restriction. I'd genuinely like to hear a response from the team on this. Until then, this is a complete veto for me.

With Restaurant Week kicking off, my wife and I finally headed down to NKC to check out this longtime local favorite - a bar, bistro and sports memorabilia museum all rolled into one. When you walk in, prepare for sensory overload. The walls and ceilings are packed with hundreds of college and pro football helmets, banners and framed memorabilia. Heck, there's even a Babe Ruth autographed baseball. It's equal parts sports bar and museum. I honestly wished they had an app or QR codes you could scan to learn the backstory behind everything. It feels a little awkward wandering around staring at the walls while nursing a beer, but there's so much to take in. We made a reservation, but it quickly became clear one wasn't necessary that night. A few patrons were at the bar, and a handful of tables were occupied in the side dining room. The vibe was relaxed and unhurried - easy to settle in and enjoy the experience. The menu is broad and familiar, with just about any bar-food craving covered. Our server recommended the deep-fried portobello mushrooms and fried pickles. We were in an onion ring mood, so we went that route. They arrived hot and crispy - solid and satisfying, though not especially memorable. In hindsight, I wish I'd ordered the loaded potato skins, which are an all-time favorite of mine. For entrees, the burger and sandwich lineup is strong, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable. The London Broil and KC Strip both looked excellent and tempting enough to justify a return visit. I opted for something lighter and ordered the Super BLT, which turned out to be a standout. The thick-cut applewood-smoked bacon was the star - perfectly cooked and loaded with flavor. Kayla, our server, was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and made us feel right at home. Between the food, the memorabilia and the laid-back atmosphere, Chappell's feels like one of those places you wonder how you overlooked for so long - especially if you're a sports fan.

A friend of mine and I went for dinner on a busy Saturday night. The girl who seated us was wonderful and immediately bussed a table so we could sit right away. Our server was great too. She was very attentive, took our orders properly. That was all that went well. My dinner companion ordered chicken tenders with sweet potato fries and I ordered a 323 burger. Her order arrived with regular fries, no problem, the sweet potato fries were brought out promptly. The other issue was her tenders were overcooked. Our waitress brought her a slice of chocolate cake which she wasn't terribly fond of as she is a pastry chef. My burger didn't taste right and I was tired so I got mine to go. Upon arrival at home, I realized why it tasted funny. It had sloppy joe on it which was a completely different burger than what I had ordered. I did telephone to let them know this had happened and they were very nice about it, but I have to say that after this experience, I likely will not be back. I do not fully hold the servers responsible for the failings, but I do hold the line cooks and line prep responsible. They should have checked those orders before they went out to the table. I am actually terribly upset about this as I do love Chappell's (their cajun pasta is my go to), but getting the food wrong twice is a deal breaker for me.
