Chaophraya is still the one for me when it comes to Thai cuisine but Siam garden is not too far behind. When I say that I'm talking about the food ofcourse. The menu is ppretty big with probably about a hundred dishes if i was to hazard a guess. If you're an avid Thai cuisine fan you already know the score as to what is on that menu...you got your satays, green chicken curry, mixed seafood with chilli and basil leaves, hot-and-sour beef salad, etc etc What you might not expect if you've been here is the strangely named goong bikini (crispy king prawn pancake rolls with sweet-and-sour dip), or the Chiang Mai 'golden sausages, as well as the whole sea bass cooked with lemon grass and tamarind.
The decor again is what you'd expect from a Thai place, slightly cheesy, for me anyway, but welcoming and ambient. If you have already tried Chaophraya then give this a whirl, you'll be impressed with the quality of the food and service and will be few pennies the wiser. read more
