For this review, fortunately I was not one that had a family member with this jerk off driver from shuttlemed. It is unfortunate, however, that anyone's family member had to be transported by this moron. While I was driving northbound on Harbor Boulevard at Union in Fullerton, traffic was merging into one lane. This douche bag comes speeding up from the right and tries to cram his van with less than 2 feet between the vehicle in front of me and the front end of my car. Traffic was only moving at about 10 to 15 mph but instead of relinquishing, he continued to force his van into my lane and at one point got within a couple of inches of the side of my vehicle. In order to avoid being hit, I had to move my vehicle more towards the center of the roadway because this idiot was not giving up. Finally, when traffic stopped and there was no place for him to go he had to continue further up the right lane and ended up forcing his vehicle in front of some other poor person because he needed to get over. I immediately found the number to shuttlemed and called them to let them know about this driver's road demeanor. While I was waiting to speak to someone he ultimately pulled into an office location at 1400 North Harbor Blvd. while I was on phone I managed to snap a couple of shots of the driver, his van, his license plate, and his vehicle ID number. He got out of his van and I told him that I thought he drove like crap and that I was getting one of his supervisors on the phone. You can see in the photo that I added that he was all thumbs up about it and couldn't care less. It was at this point I was completely shocked. He opened up the rear van doors and I could see that inside he was transporting someone in a wheelchair!!! It was at about this time the supervisor finally got on the phone and I explained the situation to him. He seemed as though he cared, however, he did seem a bit nonchalant about the whole event. He assured me that they would be looking into this incident and would be speaking with the driver about it. At the end of that call I did not get a good feeling that anything would happen. Prior to writing my review I read the other review left by someone else where it discussed the driver running a red light. It's apparent that shuttlemed is only interested in taking someone's money and trying to get someone from point A to point B whether it's safely or not. Unfortunately, on Yelp you have to click at least one star. If it was at all possible this company would get a -100 star review from me. I had shuttle service on 5/26 and my overall experience was great! The driver arrived on time and was courteous. I couldn't give them an exact pick-up time due to my procedure, but when I called they arrived in about 1 hour and a half which was fine, because it was during rush hour and I couldn't give them a set time beforehand. Firstly, this service is a brilliant concept. Our driver was on time and helped us greatly going to the hospital. I was told to call the number for our ride back since the doctor's appointment was more than an hour long. I called ShuttleMed and the next available driver was an hour away! My very old 79 year old mother was not about to handle this so guess what? We called an Uber with Assistance to help us. That worked! Our initial service was $80.00 and they charged $60.00! $60.00 to drive 3 miles from my mom's condo to to the hospital! read more

My Aunty used their service multiple times, and i was able to ride along with her a couple times. Both times I was there, their service was good and the pick up was timely. Zero stars for this business! they took two and a half hours to pick up my senior nursing home, wheel chair bound father from his Dr. visit! The Dr.office had closed, it was dark outside and freezing. My father was falling asleep and fell out of the wheel chair. This took so long. We called countless times with no result. Then two and a half hours later... the driver showed up with no apology saying this happens and we followed back to the nursing home. During this time, the driver RAN RIGHT THROUGH A RED LIGHT! I called the shuttlemed office, the supervisor was very rude and said it usually takes 45 min to one hour to be picked up. Then! when I told him the whole story that the driver ran a red light ect. he laughed at me! How safe is this company? I would have to say my father could of been killed. Make up your mind.... I had to click on at least one star to submit this review however I would give ZERO stars to this company. read more

I work for a SNF and although the drivers themselves are polite, they are constantly late (I'm talking 15-30 minutes late every time), and the company refuses to do anything about it. Today, yet again for the umpteenth time they were 45 minutes late picking up a patient for her appointment. When I called the office they do not apologize, today they told me "the drive is already on his way to pick her up". When I called a second time (20 minutes later when the driver was still not there) this was the exchange between me and the customer service rep: SM: "The driver has just arrived to pick up the patient" Me: "I understand that, but the problem is he is 45 minutes late" SM: "I have scheduled that he the pick up was 8:45 not 8:30" Me: "Ok, even if that is so, he is still 30 minutes late, that is a problem" SM: "He is there now I don't know what you want me to do" I told her I understood it was not her fault but they need to work on their customer service and asked for the manager, still she gave me no apology and despite how annoyed I sound in this post/rant I was VERY polite. The "manager" offered no apology until I told him that no one has yet apologized for the driver being 45 minutes and asked why this continues to happen? With no explanation or reasoning. I'm sure your asking yourself "why do you still use them?" and the answer is bc I have to. I have 2 wheelchair van companies that takes MediCal insurance and the other one has dropped my patients and not strapped them in properly, so I think being late is the lesser of two evils. I am open for suggestions if you have them! I am posting this bc there is nothing the company will do and complaining to them has had no affect! So this is the best I can do! read more

Had an issue with scheduling with one of our patients, had my secretary call them up and even though they were all booked up the owner went above and beyond and personally picked up our patient. read more

I had trouble initially with the communication between ShuttleMed and my insurance approval but it was taken care of and my first experience was fine. The driver was a little early but called to let me know he was outside. I was ready and got to my appointment without issue. I called when I needed a ride back home and they were promptly there to take me back home. I will definitely update my review after I use this service several more times. I'm great full to have this service since I am unable to drive after my treatments and at least I know I will get home safely. read more

They don't treat there customers right. Every time I call them they say ok with everything but dont fallow though. I mean WTF. They don't comunacate well with each other. Its like when we talk to them they hear blah blah blah....unfortunately they are only option. Drivers are nice. They know what's going on but one of the co-oners doesn't care. Sad to say.
