Truth be told....I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye....not to get too melodramatic over a…read moreyelp review....but pictures...when done perfect and if your in a particular sentimental mood....can have that effect. Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look

Neither my husband nor I love being in front of the camera, but Nola made it so painless and fun. She was an expert in telling us how to pose, and it felt natural and effortless. The shots that she got were creative, and absolutely beautiful. She gave 110%, showing up in water shoes to our beach wedding and doing whatever it took to get the perfect angles and photos! I also love following Nola because she has a way of putting unique ideas into action-- like her back to school photos. During a time when so many people are dealing with extra stressors and missing out on some normalcy, Nola had a vision to create something special, and she did. She literally painted lockers, found props, and set up a little classroom/school style setting to help families capture 2020's back to school memories. A true gem!!! We will treasure these photos for the rest of our lives, and remember Nola's kind energy that she brought to our special day. I highly recommend Nola for commemorating any of life's precious moments!

She's captured my kids at an age where my older two teenagers would actually allow it. I am glad that she was able to because those photos/stages of their lives I will reflect on forever. Everyone I refer her out to, I never have to stress because they all come back telling me how much they loved her and how comfortable she makes them feel in front of the camera, often times, feeling as if the camera isn't there at all. I personally love the art of storytelling and Nola and her son Devin are some of the best story tellers in our generation. So if you want to support a small business, this family is an all in on.

From the very beginning, they were fantastic communicators, helping me with everything from choosing the location to discussing the overall style of the shoot. On the day of the session, they were warm, funny, and made everyone feel completely at ease. They were the perfect team to capture our family's memories. It was especially helpful that they spoke both Cantonese and Mandarin, which made communicating with my parents-in-law so much easier. Even more impressively, they somehow managed to get my cranky 9-month-old engaged and smiling throughout the session! And of course, the photos were absolutely stunning. The perfect finishing touch to an already wonderful experience. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and will definitely be booking Dave and Florence again. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for talented photographers who truly know how to make the experience enjoyable for the whole family.

I only included pictures of my daughter and I, but at this point, this lovely couple has helped us capture moments with grandma, grandpa, great grandma, great grandpa, uncles, aunts and even another additional this year. Thank you guys so much! I'm excited to have these to show my daughter when she's older.

Kevin was our primary photographer, and Danilo was our secondary, and both really made the photo sessions a fun experience for everyone. A lot of laughters and memories were shared among the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Kevin and Danilo made it very easy for us by scoping out locations at the venue and providing great guidance on poses. We're also very happy we decided to do golden hour photos. We were looking for soft and neutral tone photos for our wedding, and KLV's editing style was what drew us in to them. We met at our engagement shoot where he made us feel completely comfortable (we can be quite awkward!). The engagement photos came out beautiful and people loved our save-the-date photos! The wedding day was super hectic but Kevin was super PRO with handling the chaos. Dan was also great as our second photographer -he is always smiley! The lighting, composition, and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. Looking through our gallery felt like reliving the entire day all over again, from the big moments to the small candid ones we didn't even realize were happening. We cannot recommend them enough!
