JordanComparin Photography, Jordan Lindsay Photography, Shutter Bug Photography, WHATEVER she now goes by, is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever worked with. Let me explain:
Jordan was proactive in reaching out prior to the wedding. She made time to give me a call and go over the photos I wanted, anything specific she should know about the wedding/wedding party, etc. I was appreciative of this.
After that, things were not great. Jordan showed up late to the wedding. She did inform me that she would be arriving late, which is fine. But still, she showed up late.
When it came time to take pictures, she acted as if she had never done it before. She didn't tell us to pose or do anything special to make the photos worthwhile. She frequently held the camera wrong (for a group of 10 people standing next to each other, you probably shouldn't hold the camera like you would for a portrait), but who am I to correct a professional. The sun was bright, so she found a shady spot, but during the portraits half of the people had their faces in the blaring sun. Remember how I said earlier I was impressed with how she called me to go over the shots I wanted? Well, she failed to take the specific shots I had requested.
When it came to couples portraits, she stood about 30 yards away. We barely spent 10 minutes getting couples photos, but again, who am I to correct a professional?
She told us we'd be getting our sneak peeks within 72 hours. I had to reach out a week after our wedding to get them which she said she "had already sent". Sure. Could have happened.
The photos she sent were NOT edited AT ALL (which, it was in our contract that she WOULD edit all photos). They were not cropped, the overall hue was different from photo to photo among ones that were taken in sequence. There was no depth of field. Oh, and I was gray. GRAY. I was gray in all my family portraits. Couples portraits? She got NONE. She was clearly obsessed with my husband too because SHE DIDN'T GET A PHOTO OF ME WALKING DOWN THE AISLE!!
Now, getting our photos back was a NIGHTMARE. She said that we would get our wedding photos back in late October - early November. When I reached out to her early November for an update it took her a week to respond. She then said that we'd have our photos at the end of November because she was behind. Fine. I reached out in early December and she took days to respond again. I'm sorry, but this gives me "take your money and run" vibes.
OVER THREE MONTHS LATER we finally got our wedding photos back. Guess what? She said she had "already sent them"...sorry, but you can only LIE once and get away with it!
The photos were honestly terrible. For someone who takes THREE MONTHS to get you back your wedding gallery, you expect them to be the best thing since sliced bread. However, they were very lackluster. She didn't use flash for ANY of the photos taken on the dancefloor OR outside for our grand exit (which was at night). So they were all extremely grainy. Sorry, putting B&W over a grainy photo doesn't fix the problem.
Also we had ZERO couples portraits. ZERO. Every single photo of me and my husband looks like a photo of a landscape because they're so far away. How can I remember the day??? I'll be getting my wedding photos re-done now since Jordan royally screwed up.
All in all, don't use her. Run like the plague. Stay as FAR away from her as you can. She's unprofessional and as a bride or groom, you deserve A LOT better.
