Hayley said the company would honor the pre-existing estimate if I wanted to move forward with the project. Within a week Hayley and the crew were at my front door. They were 15 minutes early, which I really liked. Hayley asked that I show them the project and then she went over it with the crew. Hayley made sure I had her direct number in case I had any questions. The crew did a great job, were polite and cleaned up after themselves. Hayley called approximately an hour later to follow up. I saw an ad for Mid City Roofing & Home Improvement Services in the newsletter of my mother-in-law's church, and after seeing so many 5-star reviews of the company on Google, I did further research and saw they are licensed with the State Of Louisiana. Also saw the company has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, so gave them a call and sent an email to them explaining our situation. Marcos, owner of MidCity, called back same day and was at the house the next day. Turns out, my mother in law recognized Marcos from attending daily church services at the same church with him, which says something about his character, if you ask me. The MidCity crew did a fabulous job on the roof at an EXTREMELY REASONABLE price, especially since it was an urgent situation for us...so they came out on a Saturday morning to do the repairs! Wow. Faithless Gutters…read more Quite possibly the worst contractor I have ever worked with. He installed gutters that exited onto shingles causing unnecessary wear. This required $250 to repair. See attached pic. In addition his installation of the patio was massively substandard, the roofing and gutter people we had to get to repair the area called it the worst they had ever seen. See attache pic 2500$. Unfortunately this isn't something that you could see from the ground. Only getting on the roof would spot it. When we went to sell the house it was discovered by the home inspector and is not something that we could ever sell the house with. I contacted Charles to make things right. He said he didn't know what was wrong and to go ahead and have someone else fix the problem. I told him that the gutter person had quoted 2-3 thousand for the repair. He swore up and down that he would pay for the repairs. I'm sure you can see where this is going. Repairs compete, to standard and the total is 2750. Charles suddenly gets amnesia when we send him the invoices and only pays back 250$. Bear in mind we had to contact him numerous times to get that amount. During the subsequent call, he lies and says that we said we would be getting bids and getting back to him. Not true. And that he never would have agreed to that amount. Also not true. Charles was quick and cheep, many of our fiends and neighbors went with Charles. Mutual close friends in fact recommended him to us. I will be recommending that all of them get their installations looked at by a professional. Charles acts like I'm ripping him off. But the facts are it cost us thousands to repair his awful installation. All we wanted is for Charles to make it right. He did not.

Told the I have a driveway with a ditch on both sides. Do not block the driveway. Please put the roofing on the grass. I have 3 vehicles and not much room. Today I came home and the material was blocking the access to the majority of the driveway. I had to get out after no help from cypress roofing and move the shingles by hand to the grass to park. Then Rob, wanted to argue with me about this request not to block my driveway. I also spoke to the people in his office that work with the sales people to make sure they don't block the driveway. He they wanted to cancel my contract and charge me a fee, even when they canceled the contract. This company is very shad their business practices and Rob Mooney, will not be around to setup the job. They are a disaster and run from these people. Really lack of someone managing the roofing replacement process and no one listens. When they make mistakes it is everyone's problem, but theirs.
