I just need to shed a rice bag worth of fat, have surgery on my shoulder (preferably bionic arm attachment), transplant a few fast twitch muscle fibers, and an injection of gingko/ fish oil bathed CSF, and I'm good as new! Okay, so this summer I have been all about finding the best white beer. This store has Wittekerke, Blue Moon, Hoegaarden, Blanche de Bruxelles. They even have Three Floyds as well as other relatively hard to find brews. The beer prices are reasonable, it sure beats getting price plundered by Devon market a few blocks down.

I have been going to Firefly for about 7 years now and John, the owner, his wife and daughter all treat me like family. I love having this great liquor store near my apartment. He was not only extremely friendly, he was very knowledgable about his products. He steered me to one of their store pick bourbons that I would not normally have considered. He gave me a pour to sample before I bought it and I was very pleased with it. With the number of hyped (and over hyped) bourbons out there, it was nice to find a new one from a great purveyor. One other nice thing about Leo's was the customer service. 2 different people came in while I was talking to Kenny. He knew both of them by their first names! That is something you rarely see. This store is a little out of the way for me, but definitely worth the trip. I will be back and recommend others check it out.

Now, I don't expect to pay Binny's prices at neighborhood stores, but that's $2 or $3 more than the same bottle runs at my old corner liquor store, Windy City Liquors. The dough is delicious as well, tall but light and fluffy with a crispy edge to it. Would definitely get pizza there again. It has a very nice smooth flavor and creamy feel since it comes from a cask! I also had a glass of the classic gueuze which was also really nice.
