There equipment was very clean and they had all the necessary backups and tools needed to make this a great party. After the party was over they helped break down the equipment and even interacted with the kids and made sure they had a good time. Overall all the kids enjoyed the experience and I told them I wanted to write them a review because of all the different companies I dealt with that were not as pleasant as they were. Logan at Scenic Sound Solutions was my first and only call. From the beginning, Logan was absolutely amazing and attentive to not only the traditional needs of the reception but to what we wanted specifically. Logan worked well within my budget and provided so much more than I could have asked for. He accommodated my work schedule and worked with me after traditional work hours. I never felt rushed and Logan answered every question that I had. He was attentive throughout the weeks before the reception making sure everything was what we wanted. We even had some 11th hour changes (literally the night before the wedding) to now include father/daughter dance with an obscure song and to our luck, Logan already had it in his repertoire. As for the reception itself, Logan was the absolute best! We did not have a wedding coordinator so he offered to help with the announcing of events and keeping us on schedule. Him and our photographer teamed up and make sure the reception didn't have any hiccups. Logan read the dance crowd great and kept the flow of the music going with high energy all night. As a couple from New Jersey getting married in Tennessee I had no clue where to even start with the…read moresearch for a photographer to document the biggest day of our lives. Luckily the wedding venue manager had a list of vendors and Rich Smith Photography was one of them. I reached out and instantly hit it off with Rich. He thoroughly explained the process, was very attentive to detail, responded quickly to all my emails, and just made me super comfortable that he would be perfect for the job. I went on his website to learn more and see samples of his work and was thoroughly impressed with not only how he captured beautiful naturally occurring moments in his photography but also how open he was about his background and his family which made me realize he was a good person. We took a trip to Tennessee to view the wedding venue and meet all the vendors and as part of the photography package, Rich offered us an engagement photo session for free. He was accommodating to work that in to the short time we were visiting. This was really helpful in getting to understand his style, and for just learning in general how to have pictures taken of us (which in my opinion is the hardest part). We got more comfortable as time went on and Rich made suggestions and creatively interpreted our ideas. If we were uncomfortable trying something, he didn't push us at all. It had to be tough for him because I hate having photos taken of me but he was so patient. The value you get for your money is just incredible. We added on a photo booth package that will allow our guests to take fun and goofy pictures at the wedding that they get to download after the event. It's not your typical photo booth, it will be an actual photographer that can help give direction in lieu of a machine you work yourself. From the samples Rich sent, guests love participating and look like they have a blast doing so! So far, the pictures from our engagement photo shoot were awesome. He had our photos ready right on time as he promised. Communication was great too: he put our photos online right away and explained the process for downloading them for print and to use for our save the dates. We're so happy with how they turned out. We cannot wait for our wedding day to work with Rich again. I highly recommend having Rich document your special occasions. You will not be disappointed!

My husband booked The Groovy Nomad as a birthday gift, a solo weekend reset, and it was just what I…read moreneeded. Three nights of quiet, a perfectly renovated room, and a real sense of being somewhere intentional rather than just somewhere to sleep. He picked well. I stayed in the Flower Power room and it's exactly what the name promises without tipping into kitsch. The owners clearly cared about the details: the vintage pieces are the real thing, the bathroom is genuinely beautiful, the bed is incredibly comfortable, and everything you actually need is there (Keurig, smart TV with Netflix, fast wifi). Even the mini fridge looks vintage, and I appreciated that it had a separate little freezer. It's a 1959 motel that's been brought back with restraint and taste, which is rare. A few things that made it worth every dollar (and the price is more than reasonable for what you get): Your reservation includes a Cloudland Canyon State Park pass, which is a lovely touch. The park is about 10 minutes away and I spent a slow afternoon doing the overlook walks and having a picnic at one of the rim spots. The outdoor courtyard back at the motel was its own little perk in the evening, with a fire going and a great spot to sit with a drink. Trenton is an easy 90 minutes from Huntsville and only about 25 minutes from Chattanooga, so it works as a true getaway without being a haul. For dinner, Lookout Mountain Pizza Company in Rising Fawn is a short drive up the mountain and well worth it. Quiet, clean, charming, and run by people who clearly love what they've built. I'll be back.

Stayed in the 2-bed Hippie room; fun decor, soft bedding, comfortable mattress, and thoughtful and nice amenities. The renovation is quality, not a slap-dash flip. It made me so happy to see an investment to this small town that I've visited over 60 years. Definitely will recommend to my family.
