I've been immersing myself too much recently in gay culture, so wanted to take a step back and…read morere-enter the world of the 'super club' where you're well versed in getting frisked, pimpin' your ass for a pinchin' and generally accepting you're the meat in an sweaty sandwich. So with this in mind, I trundled off to Matter (aka world's end) to watch a Frankie Knuckles set, whilst reams of Lady Gaga fans stormed the o2 gates, kicking myself even harder I hadn't bagged a cheap ticket. Into the club and it's expansive, annoying the second room wasn't open. The crowd was certainly chavier than I expected, the set funkier than I anticipated but alas, you can bring the boys to the club but all I could see in my peripheral vision was the hottest girl the wrong side of the Thames dancing in a skinny vest for four hours flat. Gutter, head out, working on it. A Benny Benassi moment if ever there was one.

Oh what a club!…read more It's seperated over different floors on the bottom floor you have the main DJ in a booth and the dance floor infront of him playing House music all night (the dance floor is so busy - as in back to back literally) you have cigarette machines and a merchandise counter and a bar also. There are tables and places to sit too. The club and bar and chairs are all made out of concrete but very modern. There's also a smoking area on this level. Go up a level and there is a Room 2 which has a different DJ in this is also the same style music and busy too. There is a toilet on this level though beware you walk in one door and it splits in 2 sides which you can see down both and that's men and womens hmmm. another bar on this level and a balcony over looking the dance floor and again a seating area. You can go to level 3 if your VIP for VIP you have to have a minimum spend of £500 per table, which believe me you do, you get waitress service and a nice leather booth. The table opens up and it's filled with ice and bottles of vodka or champagne or whatever you order. There is also your own private VIP dancefloor with disco lights and your own toilet - not split. There is a lift for anyone who can't manage the stairs. Brilliant club brilliant night would recommend to any lover of house and dance music

My work was inside the O2 arena which is inside this outlet too. I went to Nandos, Five Guys, Chiptole, German Kabob and a Thai restaurant. I also did some shopping here as well at Adidas, Hot Chocolate, Sunglass Guys and other stores. The arena is located right here you enter the outlet.

It was reminiscent of the Planet Hollywood Mall except it is [semi]circular. There is a Wetherspoons located on either end (yay!) as well restaurants that specialize in worldly cuisines. I went for the first time to see my favorite boy band, Five, on their reunion tour. A 20,000+ person capacity arena in the center of a "mall" is wild. The arena had great sound, and even though I was in the upper tier stage-left, I had a clear view of the stage. For a first time visitor, it is important to note that the upper tier is very steep. I was only in the 2nd row from the ledge, so I did not have any issues with vertigo/motion sickness. However, I would personally avoid seats near the top because I know I would have issues. There is a separate merch store outside the area to avoid crazy lines once you enter the arena. You can bring small packages and pursues inside but they made others rent a locker to place large packages and jackets. In addition to the arena, there is a smaller venue that was simultaneously hosting a K-Pop concert and the dinner venue for Mamma Mia! I wish I would have arrived when the shops first opened as I could have easily spent an entire day wandering around. If you are visiting London and have the opportunity to see a show at one of the venues, I highly recommend making a day of it!

Not sure if it's supposed to be an anti-drink driving thing, or just a way of showing that this is a venue for DANGEROUS PEOPLE. I went to see a friend's band play in the back room, which is a decent size for a pub's music area. It's also all black. As is the makeup and hair of most of the clientele. Yep, we're talking goth / metal types, just like you used to see in the common room at school. Bless 'em. The beer is cheap and sold in plastic glasses once the music starts. They don't accept cards. The main bar is absurdly brightly lit, which might be why the goths hide away in the back room. If you're into glamour, cocktails, gastro-style food, attractive punters, seductive ambience and a short trip from central London, maybe give this place a miss. If you like ROCK and METAL and BLACK and SMALL CRAMPED TOILETS and A SLIGHTLY THREATENING STROLL TO / FROM EAST HAM TUBE STATION, head there immediately. Oh, and on the way, keep an eye out for a pound shop with an intriguing sign out front. It offers goods at 50p £1 £1.50 ++ ??, apparently.

Absolutely too far form the Tube and London. 45min+ ride, as well as 20 min walk from East Ham station. Bus service is nil. Neighborhood not secure or welcoming to tourists, the terrible food stench in the entire property from their catering facility was unbearable and nauseating, WIFI constantly offline, in addition to their management disregard to families and patrons needs and concerns, they are not transparent or accountable. Stay in central London, do not waste your money and time with this property. THE WORST. DO NOT stay here Australia, thumbs down 110%. Buyer beware.
