Fun crowd (21-30). Be VERY specific when ordering drinks. I ordered a rum & diet and ended up with spiced rum. When I said this is "Captain's" not regular rum, she replied "you didn't tell me what kind of rum you wanted" and replaced it begrudgingly. Too funny. We ended up having a great time and getting home LATE. There are plenty of hot, farm boys to flirt with and apparently, there isn't really an enforced bar close time as long as you are in the bar before close. In Ireland, they call those "lock ins." ;-)

Although it's housed in a small town, their selection of bourbon and tequila and other fine liquors is outstanding. The owner is extremely knowledgeable on different types of unpreserved tequila so my husband was in pure heaven. I ordered an old fashion, and he tried one of his preservative, free tequila, which was another selling point that he had preservative free, hard liquor items. It was very educated about the backstory of them. It was just such a cool place! He gave us a tour around the liquor store as well giving us knowledge about each of the different regions and where things were made you could tell he was really passionate. The staff was all really nice and attentive. It's very clean, decorated nicely, has some awesome mural artwork inside. Although they've only been open six months. This is truly a place that you would come back to again again! If I were living in Festus, this would definitely be my number one bar to be a regular, if you haven't given them a try I highly suggest going by and visiting, be back soon! Unfortunately it was awful. We were sat on the enclosed porch. We had Christmas music blaring so loud that you had to shout. (Someone later unplugged the speaker.) The temp on the porch reached 79, which was quite uncomfortable. We waited about 45 minutes for our food. And, boy was it awful. Frozen pancakes, frozen biscuits, ok gravy, ok casserole and really good sausage links. No serving utensils for anything - had to use my fork to get gravy. No butter. I will say, the place is decorated really well. Top marks for that. As far as food service - this place has no idea what they're doing. All in all - you'd be better off getting a room at the Hampton Inn. It would be cheaper and the breakfast is better. Guess you have to determine how much you're willing to pay for a photo of your kids with the Grinch. (Which we didn't get because we were so hot and uncomfortable.)
