They said that their club soda gun had carbonation and everything was going to be great. After I leave the coffee shop and take a sip of my drink, I realize there's absolutely no carbonation. Once I finished my errands I went back by the coffee shop to let them know and she said that there is nothing wrong with there machine. Basically I have to just enjoy my flat lotus drink. They refused to do anything about it. Can't wait until shorties is open again because I will definitely not be coming back to java junction.

Thankfully we saw recently that they had extended their hours and are now open 11am-11pm from Thursday thru Sunday! We were so excited and made it a point to stop in while we were in town. The restaurant has a comfortable and laid back atmosphere and feels just like an old diner. The story of their name is important to their family (relative who was a pilot) and the land that the building sits on only further adds to its importance as it was part of the old runway. So many wonderful photos to look at in the dining area and clearly the military that frequent there show their love for the business with their patches hanging on the wall. We ended up getting two shakes and a pint of chocolate custard to go and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us navigate the menu. I only wish I had more room to try even more of it. The custard is creamy and simple, nothing extra added to it and so you can appreciate its straight forward deliciousness. Plenty of parking around the building and even more seating inside and outside the building. Definitely a must stop if you're in Kenai or just stopping by! Probably one of the best desserts I've had in Alaska.
