We ordered a pizza with sausage on the whole thing and sausage/mushroom on half along with an apple and two other meals. When the pizza came out-it had sausage and mushrooms on the entire pizza. I told the woman (who I later found out was the owner, Jessie) that it was supposed to only have mushroom on half. She said-well we can remake it, but it will take a while because we have other pizza orders-can't you just pick it off? I asked if we could have a discount because it was wrong and she got snippy and said she would remake it and we would get it in 45 minutes. I told her it was fine, and we would just pick it off. There was literally no apology from her for it being wrong. A man did come out and apologize for reading the ticket wrong and I told him it was totally fine. Then our server came out and said she needed a card on file and she forgot since we were outside. (Don't worry, Jessie, I'm still going to pay for my messed up order.) I don't understand why Jessie didn't at least apologize and also why couldn't she put our correct pizza in before the others? They messed up our pizza-but we're the problem? Everyone else was great-but as a business owner, I would think she could do better. Business may be good for the holiday weekend right now, but what about this winter when no one is coming in? She will wish she had been more gracious about their mistake. And before anyone says it may have been my mistake-the server confirmed it twice-once before she put it in and once afterwards. So it was truly a mistake by the business which happens, but the way it was handled was so rude. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth- ha literally because I also hate mushroom.

We got in, and four people were in the bar, two bartending and two sitting on stools. All smoking. I don't care, that's just north woods charm I guess. The drinks were super cheap, a bloody mary and a Coors for 5 bucks. Perfect. Then the bartender started talking to us, asking where we were from. I told him MIlwaukee, and he replied "Sorry to hear that" then he asked where my aunt was from. We told him Appleton, he replied "That's a little better." Next question he asked us was "How do ya like it up here?" We told him we loved the area and the owner immediately said "Yeah no n___'s up here" My wife tried to defuse the situation by saying "There's nobody really up here." At that moment another patron needed a drink giving us an opportunity to slam our drinks and get out the door. We all met in an acting class in Bloomington, IL and formed an acting troop known as The Dead Barbers. We specialize in reenactments of moments that happened a few minutes ago. Our round of golf went really very well. We know how busy it can be on a Saturday and totally understood that carts were in short supply. There were clear tiers in the power rankings of our group of 7 Dead Barbers' golfing performance. Tier one was Red 2 Snakes. Tier two was White 7 Squirrel. Tier three was Blue 4 Bruiser. Tier four was Green 3 Fox, Black 5 Hawk, and Pink 1 Puma. And finally tier 5 was Gray 6 Sheriff who didn't participate due to LLLL. The staff was very helpful and in a great mood especially in the pro shop. Some highlights of our 9 holes included a Packers training camp filibuster, a return of the Lost Ball Boys, sad songs on the playlist, and a X 9 or nothing last hole where a Pink 1 Puma golf ball got scooped up by a black hole. We look forward to returning for another round next reunion!! 5 stars
