We got in, and four people were in the bar, two bartending and two sitting on stools. All smoking. I don't care, that's just north woods charm I guess. The drinks were super cheap, a bloody mary and a Coors for 5 bucks. Perfect. Then the bartender started talking to us, asking where we were from. I told him MIlwaukee, and he replied "Sorry to hear that" then he asked where my aunt was from. We told him Appleton, he replied "That's a little better." Next question he asked us was "How do ya like it up here?" We told him we loved the area and the owner immediately said "Yeah no n___'s up here" My wife tried to defuse the situation by saying "There's nobody really up here." At that moment another patron needed a drink giving us an opportunity to slam our drinks and get out the door. When telling this story to my aunt, she said "Don't ever go in there again, you're lucky you got out alive." WHAT THE HECK?!?!

We all met in an acting class in Bloomington, IL and formed an acting troop known as The Dead Barbers. We specialize in reenactments of moments that happened a few minutes ago. Our round of golf went really very well. We know how busy it can be on a Saturday and totally understood that carts were in short supply. There were clear tiers in the power rankings of our group of 7 Dead Barbers' golfing performance. Tier one was Red 2 Snakes. Tier two was White 7 Squirrel. Tier three was Blue 4 Bruiser. Tier four was Green 3 Fox, Black 5 Hawk, and Pink 1 Puma. And finally tier 5 was Gray 6 Sheriff who didn't participate due to LLLL. The staff was very helpful and in a great mood especially in the pro shop. Some highlights of our 9 holes included a Packers training camp filibuster, a return of the Lost Ball Boys, sad songs on the playlist, and a X 9 or nothing last hole where a Pink 1 Puma golf ball got scooped up by a black hole. We look forward to returning for another round next reunion!! 5 stars
