This place has gone downhill. The rates have skyrocketed and the maintenance is lacking. Long fairways, slow greens, torn up tee boxes and it's almost $40 to walk 18. Not my choice of course anymore. read more

I'm a fan of the driving range! I have never played the course so I have no comments for that from personal experience, but many friends have found it to be challenging and fun, while affordable for students, or people who like golf but don't have access to some fancy private club. Just a nice, well maintained course for a fun morning or afternoon without the frills. The buckets are affordable to just hit balls once a week or so, and the staff that I have encountered so far have been friendly (unlike some of the reviews complaining about rude staff). They allow dogs at the driving range ON-leash. We have taken our well behaved dog and let him off leash (I like the test the limit when it comes to the pup), he wanders around the trees out of the way and lays in the shade, staff has seen him and I got no reprimanding. That's enough for 4 stars for me. I'm thrilled to find a low key place that lets us both enjoy the outdoors. read more

Came into town for work and stopped by this gem!! Was greeted politely from outside the club house and he told me to just grab a large bucket. The driving range was in solid shape and lots of targets to adjust shots for measuring. Saw AJ giving lessons and asked about his rates. Very fair and solid instructor from what i saw. The course itself is fun and greens were in great shape. I would recommend this place to any type of golfer. Food, range, clubhouse and customer service is all up to par. read more

Today they put the driving range in the worst possible summer location. That is the West End. Where the fence blocks the wind and holds the most possible bugs. Please reserve that location for winter read more

Needs some TLC , but still is a good course. Greens are not as good as they used to be and the fairways had a few weeds.

The course is overpriced for the overall experience and value. Firstly, it was overbooked and slow. I've been here multiple times and it took over 4 1/2 hours to complete a round of 18 for me and my friend. You can pay the same price for a better pace of play, scenery, landscaping and overall golfing experience. I would give this course a one star, but the course was decent to play. Although, the greens are terribly slow compared to any moderate course. In conclusion, this course should be priced 30% less than asking price. If you are a frequent golfer, play this course twice a season, if that. read more

Shoreline is one of my favorite local golf courses. Since it's close to both the river and the lake, you get a nice variety of wildlife and habitat, which is partially why I like golf in the first place. I've seen a variety of animals here, with the most recent being a bald eagle and baltimore oriole. The carts are all electric too, so as to not interfere with enjoying the aforementioned nature. Plus, you get some fantastic views of downtown Omaha from here. I think this would be a good place to bring 'out of towners' for that reason. And as for the golf... I think that it's a challenging course, but at the same time enjoyable enough and with enough variety to make it interesting enough to keep playing week to week. read more

I honestly don't think I'll ever go back to this course. The course itself is nice and challenging but the staff treated my playing partners and I with disrespect that I haven't seen at any other course. We played the Twilight special ($16 for as many holes as you can get in). When we made the turn we had a ranger come up to our carts and seemed very angry with us and told us we needed to be off the course by 8. We agreed and continued to play on. At 740 we were putting on the 12th green, the cashier drives up to us and stops us while one of our partners was putting. He tells us we need to get off the course. It's 745 so we tell him we want to just hit tee shots into the water on the 13th (one of my favorite holes). He leaves and we go to tee off at 13. When he comes back he takes the keys out of our carts and drives off leaving us stranded on the opposite end of the course, even though we tried to explain to him that we were told 8 o clock (with still 35 minutes of daylight left, mind you) and that all we were doing was hitting tee shots. I wish I knew the guy's name cause I owe him big time! Since he took our carts away I ended up getting my first eagle of the year on the Par 4 15th. Honestly, I've never had a problem with the staff there until today. My advice to the people that work the course: get a different job if you aren't going to be respectful to the people golfing on your course. I was shocked by the service at this course. read more

I was surprised how nice this place is. I didn't expect much being in Carter Lake, but it is a really nice course. Right on the lake, this course is very beautiful and taken care of. They have a shared green on one of the holes. I had never seen that before. It is one green with two flags, a different one for each of the two holes. read more

Rough day at the course. Such a beautiful course to play with beautiful scenery. Staff very unfriendly at checkin. Could barely speak to us. Unacceptable. The play was horribly slow after 5 hours we quit after 16. Way overbooked on a Saturday afternoon. We love to play there but made the game difficult with so much downtime between holes . This should be figured out by now. Disappointing. read more

I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the staff at Shoreline. We had our 6th Annual Blake Schuler Memorial Golf Outing and they did a fantastic job. Really takes the pressure off when you have a team of professionals helping you every step of the way. We even started on time for the first time ever. Pretty solid for a first year staff. Hope you're a scratch golfer - we had a slant-sun, leaf-filled day today that slowed our threesome down just a bit. Balls were hard to spot. But Rangers were there to help. staring us down on virtually every tee. At the 7th, he actually told us to hurry it up because we were "two holes behind." We apologized, but at the next tee box saw the group ahead of us getting to the green. We were not behind at all. Sorry, too many courses around town to put up with ranger behavior like that. Stopped in here on my way through town and played 9 holes at dusk. The cart broke down and the sprinklers came on but that happens and we had a great time. The course was really nice and just challenging enough. Staff was really nice and helpful. read more

I enjoyed playing the course and decided to buy a membership. Save your money because they seem to have a event one day every weekend and have leagues everyday after work. So basically you get a useless membership that you can not use. I thought a membership was supposed to give you benefits? read more
