UPDATE Changing my review. After installationI understood that their could be some moisture that would go away. It did on 1 our of the 2 windows. The other 3 were fine. Being a cold winter I had the blinds closed most of the time except for the bottom up. When I started putting the top of the blinds down the 1 window looked dirty. There is a line that looks like it came from the window squeege. I had Cody's text so I tried to send pictures but they never really came out well. I sent them anyway and asked if someone could come check the window. He said the picture looked like the seal was broken on the window. It is a tall 5 foot window and it is only the top not the entire window. He said to look and see if it was in between the window. I texted him back and said it appears to be dirty. I waited a week and texted him again . No response. Actually looking at my text messages he has not responded to the last 3. Very disappointed. I guess I will have to call someone else to fix the problem and you can bet I will send them the bill. read more

From the first appointment meeting with Cody, through to the finish when Jared and Cody both executed the installation, I was impressed with the product and how it was installed. I have a beach cottage in De., and the sun had disintegrated the upholstery on my expensive sectional sofa in one room, and in another room, the sun was so strong, that I would receive comments and complaints from our tenants, despite the fact that there is a drapery on the window and the A.C. cranked to arctic temps. Cody took great pains to help me select the correct tinting grade, and found a heat blocking one, as well as a light blocking one, for those two situations. You absolutely cannot see any color change from either the inside as well as from the exterior. My husband is thrilled, and I personally am relieved that the tenants will not be baking hot, while in that room anymore. Great family run business, with all the qualities you would traditionally expect...honest, punctual, thorough and neat, and quite frankly, could write the book on glass tinting. My next job will be to have my glass shower sliders, "frosted", with a tint that Jared uses, to give privacy for bathers. I'm already thinking about doing my car next! Great product! I called last week hoping to speak with someone. It was later in the day so when my call wasn't answered, I assumed they were all busy or had left early. It wasn't the end of the world. Noticing there was an online form one could fill out to request a consult, I went that route. Four business days later, I haven't received a response. I could call again but seriously, what is the point of offering an online request form if you're not going to respond? It leaves a bad impression and makes me want to look elsewhere, which is exactly what I've donie. read more

I am a small business owner & I understand what it's like to run a business. Everything I have written has been based on my experience with Shore Tint and how I have been treated as a customer. On January 14, 2022 we had Cody Becker from Shore Tint & more come to our salon (Peachy Keen Salon) to give us a quote for 4 commercial sized windows to be tinted. The Shore tint team are no strangers to us and we trusted them with the job. The total came out to $1413.03. Cody Becker was also 30 minutes late to our agreed meeting time. I agreed on the proposal & the Shore Tint crew came to install our tint on January 21,2022 on all 4 windows. My appointment was set for 9am, the crew did not arrive until after 10am. I came in on a day off to open up shop to make sure the crew could get in. I had to call twice to figure out if they were still coming, when they were coming and to figure out what was going on. Mind you the woman on the front desk was lacking customer service skills & was quite frankly rude not letting me know any information other than "they're on their way". Once the team got here, Jared Becker- the owner of shore tint, made a statement about how cold it was outside and that he was a little unsure of doing the installation due to the liquid they use to apply the tint possibly freezing overnight & causing the window to crack. Me, being a 23 year old female with no knowledge of window film did not know what to respond with and stated in my opinion that if he as the professional was unsure that it was best to wait. The manager of my salon was also present when Jared made this statement. Jared stated that in his opinion he thought it was fine to do the installation and I left it up to the professional. Immediately after the installation the tint was beautiful it really make our location look great. However, the next day not even a full 24 hours after we came into the salon and our front window was cracked in the middle. (Pictures attached) I immediately thought of when Jared had mentioned something about the window cracking. We have been at this location for three years and have never had any issues with our windows until we decided to have tint put on. I had my fiancé call Cody Becker to explain the situation. We were immediately told it was nothing to do with what they did or their tint job and that we should not contact them and leave it up to their insurance. I sent Cody photos of the window and heard nothing for days as our window slowly began to crack even more. No one from the Shore Tint team or their insurance ever came to see or investigate the damage that had been done to our window. Finally on January 28th, I received a call from Shore Tints Insurance Adjuster who stated that Shore Tint did not carry the Insurance to cover this type of liability. Leaving me, a young female with zero options other than fixing the situation out of my own pocket for fixing the damage that Shore Tint has caused. I brought the situation up to my landlords & they called Shore Tint to speak with the owner Jared. My landlords had a little bit more knowledge after some research and calling other tint companies as to why the window may have cracked. They learned that commercial sized windows, especially on an older building should not be tinted if it is under 40 degrees outside. As most of you know the temperatures lately have been freezing no where near 40. Jared immediately turned on defense mode, laughing about the damages done with another person laughing in the background, stating that in his opinion he did nothing wrong, that he has been tinting windows for 30 years and always tints in the cold weather, and saying that because the job was already done he wasn't going to assume any responsibility. Jared also admitted over the phone call that he did make a statement about the windows possibly cracking but he did not care. They also stated that they have never had a window crack since they have been in business- which if it is true there is a first for everything and they truly handled the situation poorly. I mean. Wow. This situation has truly opened my eyes. I don't know what to do at this point. I have asked for a refund but I was told they would need to talk to their lawyer before refunding me because they did "nothing wrong". I'm just looking for any recommendations on what we should / can do. I guess I'm just posting to also have everyone be aware of the situation and how the shore tint team handled this situation. I'm truly shocked & hurt. As a young female business owner I feel taken advantage of. If the professional knew there was any chance the windows would crack I would have appreciated honesty over trying to make money. I wouldn't recommend any one use shore tint due to their tardiness, lack of customer service & unprofessionalism. From one business owner to another. Do better. read more
