GOOD: 1) Restaurant food is good along with the weekly specials. The evening bartender/employee there is great! 2) The restrooms are much better since they renovated them. 3) Installation of new ceiling fans everywhere - - major plus! BAD: 1) The swivel chairs provided for bowlers are extremely dirty/nasty. They are a light grey color. If u look at both the front and especially the back of the majority of the swivel chairs you'll clearly see where they haven't been cleaned in years (dark color). I actually have a spray cleaner and towel in my bowling ball bag that I use to clean the chair before I sit down in it. Suggest Employees be tasked to perform something that would take maybe 5 minutes per chair to do. I'm guessing maybe twice a year cleaning is all it should take. 2) Quite a few of these swivel chairs require replacement bearings. When you sit in one of these chairs it leans heavily to one side. There are some chairs that will barely swivel. 3) Perhaps this has recently changed. The indoor/outdoor floor carpet clearly shows where it has not been cleaned in years. Suggest a simple to use carpet cleaner be rented from nearby Home Depot. Any employee should be able to resolve this matter when the bowling alley closes at night. Per numerous electric fans recently installed,,, the indoor/outdoor carpet would dry rather easily overnight. 4) I, along with others have witnessed a particular young 20 year old employee who has been unprofessional on many occasions to include not being at the front counter in which she sometimes cuddles up with her boyfriend who bowls on league nights. The first time I came here it was wasn't a great experience. There was a blonde gentleman who was clearly playing games with me here. I was recommended this place from my old job. I tried the wings and fries. I did come back again but it's been a while since I've bowled here or ate. It was an okay experience. One o'clock on a Friday I thought there might be a little bit of a wait since it's the middle of the summer it's on Friday camps usually have trips. there was over an hour wait it was only people over the age of 60 bowling. He then wanted to play arcade games. we had to get a card from a machine which stopped counting money and wouldn't dispense a card halfway through our transaction The poor guy at the front desk who now had a long line of people waiting to bowl and was Trying to fix a machine the bowling alley doesn't own. He finally gave us one of the bowling alleys cards He's the only reason for this two star review. Someone had stolen the balls from the game where you throw balls and knock things down like at a fair, at least half of the games only worked on one side so you couldn't play with someone else. It's your run of the mill bowling alley. You can tell some parts are very dated. When I want to go bowling with family and friends we still pick here. You can't beat the pricing. My niece and nephew have fun in the arcade. I do enjoy that they also have a full bar on the property to relax. There isn't much about the decor that really stands out. Talk about disappointment . We started the night with excitement as we were all pumped to have a good night. The facility itself is very outdated as well as the balls. A lot of the balls were cracked and broken. Thankfully, I had brought my own ball. However, it got stuck multiple times and really delayed our game. It was even more frustrating because our other group had to then wait a whole hour until we finished our game due to the many times the balls would get stuck in the back. Not only was there a ball issue, but the reset machine for the pins would stop working, causing us to once again have to stop. I lost count st how many times I had to walk back to the help desk so that a staff member would fix the issues. I was very polite and by the 9th time I asked what could be done for my group as far as compensation for all the issues. I waa told I would have to speak to the manager once he was available. We finished the night and of course my ball got stuck again and had already complained about it 3 times before anyone ever came to help. The manager then told me there was nothing that could be done since we finished our game. He couldn't even reward us with a voucher or a coupon for next time. Instead he just said they will close the lane so that the next people that go won't have any issues which didn't really help me out in anyway. As far as the food goes, it was actually pretty good. The wings were great but the service once again was horrible. The guy seemed very angry while taking our order and the first thing he told us was "hurry up im trying to get this line down". Where to begin... If i could rate 0 stars i would. First off, been bowling here for the last 12 weeks for a league. Our lanes have constantly broken down. A couple of our balls have gotten stuck and damaged in the return. The staff is lazy and incompetent. 5 people will stand around at the counter when you call for help and ignore you. The bar, oh my god, the bar is constantly out of everything. For the last 10 weeks they haven't gotten anything to make White Russians, they run out of things like Fruit Punch and refuse to replace the bag. The bathrooms are disgusting, and if you're lucky half of it is working. Management there is a joke when it comes to handling any situation. This whole place needs to be shut down, torn down and erased from existence. Aovid at ALL COSTS, especially in the evening when all the pot heads show up and stand around up front blocking the doors. The alleys are fine and weekly rates are great but we bowl there weekly on a league and the floors are always tacky, the bathrooms smell like cat pee. I haven't tried anything but nachos because of the cleanliness but they used cheese that tasted like cheap can cheese. I want to love this place but the bathroom smell is a huge turn off and sticky floors just don't go with bowling. They need to change their mop water or whatever they are cleaning with. It's graduation weekend in Palm Bay/Melbourne...but it's been raining so we had to take the party inside. The weekend has revolved around good and healthy family fun. So based on the rain, the beach (first idea), we all opted for an evening of bowling. I'm not a native to Melbourne, but this alley appeared to be decently busy for the area. It's pretty old school, but has all the necessities. Aside from bowling: There is a bar Concession Stand (pretty good fries) Arcade Pro Shop And Restrooms on each end of the alley Pricing is very good as well. Cost: For Saturday - $25/lane (or 6ppl)/for 1 hour Our group had about 16 bowlers, including 3 small children. So we were given three lanes (one for the children; two for the adults). Our lanes, 36-38, worked well for the duration of our time. No ball jams and no pin jams. The only thing I would improve is the seating setup on the lanes. Each lane has a small table with about 6-7 chairs. But if you have a large group, it can get crowded easily. Having some extra chairs or benches for the lane would make it a little more comfortable. All in all it was a great evening of bowling for the whole family! read more

I gave 2 stars was because the staff member we spoke to was nice. It probably could've been higher but we didn't have much experience outside of the inconvenience of tonight. It was frustrating to plan to take the kids here after work, tell them we were going, plan a night (on a budget) to do something as a family, arrive there at 5:30pm to take advantage of the "kids summer special" (that would've seen us purchase summer passes to take them as well) then be told that we would have to wait or come back at 7:30-8pm when their league was done playing. The entire alley had maybe 4 people inside at the time. Not sure how many people attend the league but if they have to shut down the whole thing for it - AND - they don't market or advertise the time overlap issue to their customers, then I think that something is wrong there. We wound up taking the family to Bowlero 10-15 min away and had a blast. They also had a bowling league at the same time but only used half their lanes for them, so other customers could bowl. My advice to leadership is just make sure marketing aligns with logistics. If you can't or don't offer kids bowling at a center time but advertise it as available at that time, then change your marketing lol. read more

The food is great, but if you've come to bowl prepare to be frustrated! The lanes break down regularly, not returning your ball, even setting the pins wrong- if it sets them at all! They seem to think league players will keep returning when they can keep the environment comfortable, the roof from leaking or the bathrooms working. And don't get me started on how they've patched the tile with totally different size, style and pattern tile. The mismanagement is severe!!! This facility needs to be torn down read more

What a great experience, I'm not the best at the bowling, but the staff was very friendly and made sure I was aware of how the lanes work as well as putting my information in. They had good drink specials, which always makes things even better. Bowling facilities are alright, could be cleaner. I think Brunswick on Wickham Rd is a superior bowling alley by all standards, but the attached bar is really nice. $1 draft beers are also awesome. Just left at 6:30 from worst bowling experience ever. Were placed next to 6 adults who were all intoxicated and 6 children 6 and under to barely 2. Children were bowling en mass without supervision or guidance. The problem was 4-5 would be out on the lane together and running around ball return. As we bargain 2nd game it was impossible to enjoy the game as you were afraid you would be throwing a ball when one of the tiny children came running around. Talked to Chad at the desk he offered to move us but we were halfway through our last game. My concern was that it wasn't fair to other customers and the greatest concern was the children. The littlest one was playing with the ball return as were the others. Chad said there really wasn't anything he could do. Afterwards these people were unhappy we complained and were abrasive so we left. Definitely not using this bowling alley again. read more

While the atmosphere and the food were great at this place, what I'm really concerned about is their lack of attention to following COVID-19 guidelines. None of the countertops, tables, or balls were sanitize after others left, many people were sitting at tables marked as not available due to COVID-19, and the worst part was the lack of mask. No one, except the people behind the main counter, was wearing a mask. Not the chefs, not the waiters. And especially not the guest. If you're concerned about attracting the virus, do not come here. I've been coming here ever since I was a kid. The staff is awesome and always so accommodating. I am a former caregiver for adults with special needs and they always went above and beyond to accommodate them and even remembered everyone's names. Every once and a while some lanes have issues but it happens. Food is pretty good and not too overpriced for what it is. There are usually always plenty of balls to use of every size and color. At the ripe age of 20 something I had still not ever been bowling in my life. Very tragic, I know. How could one go so long without ever having thrown a bowling ball down a long wooden surface in an attempt to knock down some pins? I blame bad parenting, really. What better place to start. First off, the kitsch factor is heavy with this place. The signs and all the decor just scream at you as if you're in some 1950's sitcom. You sort of expect that laugh track to kick up when you throw a gutter ball. And believe me, I threw way too many of those in my first time out. The cost of a night out bowling here for the rental shoes and the lane is pretty damn cheap. Then again, you are in Florida and everyone else has a space museum or a mouse museum to go to. So this establishment is a bit more on the slower side of life. None the less, it's still really fun and a great ingredient to a night out. They used to be called Brunswick Brevard Bowling Center, which just doesn't have the same pop as Shore Lanes. Then again, they did spice up the place and make it look a bit more respectable. Customer service here was always pretty friendly. Then again, being an out of towner, it always seems a lot more friendly than where you came from. That southern hospitality is always a nice thing. From Brunswick Bowling to Shore Lanes, this place has really turned a corner! New floors, lanes, arcade area, and full service snack bar. My boyfriend and I frequently bowl on our day off during the week. Monday-Friday from 3-5pm is all-you-can-bowl for $5.00. Shoes included! This time is awesome as an after school activity with kids or friends. Bow ling is a great family activity no matter when you go! I've also participated in two bowling leagues. Both were very well run and a lot of fun! Leagues can be costly, but they are a good time. I would love to see them upgrade or replace the house balls. Where are you going to find a deal like that. They also have a practice league on Saturday mornings. You buy a card for $14 +tax. For that you get 14 games. If you bowl in the league that day then you bowl three games for free. So it is really 17 games. So many great leagues. read more

One star is based on food & bar service, or lack of service. I ordered a cheeseburger from the man with Fred locks, he doesn't say hello, makes no eye contact, doesn't ask if I wanted anything else just says $11.45 or something close. For an $11 burger at a bowling alley the least you could do is say hello, that will be, sir or bother to look up and make eye contact. I say "forget about it" making no eye contact, and walk away. At the bar I ask for a BLite she comes back with a Pitcher. I explain I wanted One BLite, she tells me I ordered a pitcher, lady, "I've never said the word pitcher in a bar in my life, I don't drink that much beer." I'm writing this in hopes that owners of food counter will see this an learn that a little kindness goes a long way, nobody wants an unfriendly/angry man handling their food. A simple hello would have gained a new customer. I paid for the pitcher of beer because she was friendly, I shared it with people at the bar. Had my daughters birthday party here this past weekend. Nothing that is promised for birthday parties on the website is true. With exception of a large pizza and soda. It says that a gift for the birthday kid is given along with small gifts for each kid that is paid for. It says that they will decorate for your special day. None of this happened. Also, said free game for future use is given to the kids. Didn't happen. I barely saw the girl that I pod to have help. We started 40 min late and then they tried to kick us out at 1.5 hrs when we paid for 2. All I got for a response was sorry I didn't know we were out of all of this. When asking to talk to a manager they told me he's not there and gave me an email address to take up my complaint about refunds. But that money was still due. I emailed that every day and now 4 days later have not had a email returned. This place is a rip off. If your going to have a party here DONT pay the 80$ per lane for 5 kids each to be inclusive. (2 lane min. We had 3) Pay the 40$ Per lane and do it all your self. You will save a ton And it will look the way it's suppose to. Instead of looking like your unprepared when you paid someone to have it prepared for you. read more

Just witnessed a little boy get his throat choked by his father in an extremely violent manner. The child then pushed down by his hand and shoved under a table where the child hid for the next hour crying. The staff employee that was told about the incident acted completely unprofessional and rude. Another lady there called the Melbourne Police. When the police arrived they paid absolutely no attention to the child and his well-being, didn't examine him for marks and actually didn't even realize he was still hiding under a table right behind them while they spoke with the father, who actually was able to trick the police completely into thinking he only grabbed the back of the child's neck (to press a relaxation pressure point). Not only was it unbelievable to see Police behave in such a naive and ignorant manner, they actually ended up threatening to arrest and trespass the other families that were concerned about the child's safety. I pray that that child doesn't continue to get strangled. And after hearing some of the police's threats, I sincerely hope the Melbourne Police get more training on Florida State Law. Don't spend $300-400 like one family did because god forbid you witness someone get choked or stabbed, you'll be banned from the building after paying them for Terrible customer service. And evidently threatened by the police for any reason the criminal can make up. Ha. Wow. I wasn't even involved in this but it's just disgusting how awful these cops behave and how little they know about enforcing the actual "Law". read more

Nice bowling alley IF you have your own ball... their house balls are absolutely terrible with extremely poor assortment of finger hole sizing. They are very old, not maintained and can ruin what should be an enjoyable time. Not worth going to if you don't bring your own ball! read more

Two stars because the staff didn't mention the "kids bowl for free program". Instead offered us a special that the kids couldn't finish one game. The "bowl for free program" gives you two free games and pay for shoes. Both are about same price but the free program doesn't cut you off in the middle of the first game. I want to brag on and thank management for their support. I took my 2 kids there (11 and 5) and we were very nicely welcomed by the staff. We had the lane all the way against the wall which was perfect for us. Some of the customers were very grumpy and complained to employees about my 5yr old's presence there (it was 6:30 in the evening!). He was doing nothing wrong, he stayed in our aisle, he was just very excited to go bowling (something we do rarely) ... and we were 3 aisles down from those grumpy customers!! However, management was pro-active and came to me to assure me that I was fine and that if they were being rude to me to let them know. I appreciated their back-up so much. Thank you! read more

Looking forward to my next visit when I'm in town. Came in with at least 20 people spur of the moment late on Sunday 8/8/2015. The staff were more than accommodating and we had a great time. In total we all played 3 or 4 games and of course, the bae, was the undisputed champion (fun times)!! Prices are way beyond reasonable for both food and game play. The staff provided us with print outs when requested, and always asked if there was anything else we needed. They did have some food choices, from which I saw cheese fries and chicken. The soft drinks were huge and although food service was slightly slow, the quality was good for a bowling alley. There is also a lounge/bar inside/other side of the bowling alley. The female bartender tried to keep up with us but I'm sure she wasn't used to that much traffic on a Sunday night. The drinks definitely could have been stronger for the price, especially ordering premium liquors, but hey you live and you learn. Lots of fun for a Friday night cosmic bowling. Lanes are very slippery, and bathrooms need to be fixed. Over all not a bad place to bowl at.
