Over the course of my trip, I purchased a linen blouse and linen shorts. Unfortunately, shortly after I got home, I suffered some quality issues with the two items. Overall, a very pleasant experience - I can't wait to go back to shop in person! Minus just half a star for the quality issues, but the customer service was simply exemplary.

Took items to the front where the lady gave me and my daughter a long hard stare and told us (not very politely at all) to not bring our shopping cart in to the store next time. I replied that I was not aware that I couldn't bring it in, to which she sternly replied, " I didn't catch you". We won't be returning and I don't care to have someone imply that I had plans to fill my cart with, let's face it, overpriced, well worn, used items that should have cost a dollar max each. It was very uncomfortable and embarrassing for us.

No effort was made on this. Additionally, prices are absurd. But they blame it on the market fluctuations. This is wildly incorrect. The markups are done for 100% profit and are not considered with the going market, especially for children's card games. Lastly, all security cameras are live videos. The store doesn't have access to this. The only ones who do are corporate, where they spy on workers and make sure they are doing "the right things." Many times I would be demoing product for customers, where they would then call the store and yell at me for not working. Don't support this company. They exploit both employees and their customers.

We're new to Nanaimo and had never even heard of it. We were immediately (Covid safe rules being followed 100% by both employees on shift) welcomed in the store, the male employee helped us with several questions, and came up with a few cool games for us to play He went above and beyond. Super friendly and helpful. The female employee at the till advised their electronic payments were down, she politely asked if I minded going to am ATM in the mall. I had no issue with that, we got cash, came back and paid for the games. The female employee then gave me $3 cash and said this is for the $3 ATM fee you had to pay to get cash. My mouth dropped, wow. I was amazed they would even think of that, and actually refund It to me. Needless to say: we were so impressed with the products in the store, how clean the store was, the customer service shown by both employees, we will definitely be back often, and pass the word on to others. Way to go Mind Games!!!

We had just driven in from a few days in Tofino, and I realized I hadn't really packed anything too appropriate for a conference with my coworkers and colleagues. Oops. Emergency dress shopping time! Sometimes, I am afraid to step foot into adorable boutiques, because I am borderline plus-size and often feel like I'm being judged a la Pretty Woman in this type of shop. This was a refreshing experience! The owner helped me pick out lots of adorable things to try on, most of them fit, and I ended up with two fabulous dresses that are now wardrobe regulars, as well as the most comfortable pair of bamboo leggings I could have ever imagined. I strongly considered going back after the conference to buy them in different colors and lengths. I had to hold myself back from all the gorgeous accessories and jewelery on offer, but it did make me a little sad. This boutique would be right at home in Victoria - the fact that I found it up in unassuming little Parksville with an amazing owner with a flair for stocking fabulous things just puts it right over the top for me.
