If it's too cold or just really bad outside, go right into the building next to the pits and use the indoor range. If you need ammo, you can get it there. Visit at least once a month and your dues will more than be worth it just by the value of training alone. We've attended Thursday evening Ladies Pistol Nights and have become regulars at the Trap field. My friend became a member earlier this year, and I've applied for membership recently. This is a great club that has a lot to offer:. a pistol range, rifle range, archery range, trap and skeet fields, fishing ponds, and LOTS of events from dinners, 5 stand, and the previously mentioned ladies specific events. Great club and not as expensive as I've heard some of the other clubs in CT can be.

What stood out most was the focus on judgment, responsibility, and the real consequences of poor decisions, not just what is legal. The discussions on self-defense law, duty to retreat, Castle Doctrine, and collateral liability were especially valuable. David also addressed mental health and suicide prevention with honesty and care, which set this course apart. Took my wife here to fire her first firearm. We are both 26 and I'm active duty, she's never shot a…read moregun before and her family was always against them. I started her on our home defense shotgun the same way my dad started me as a kid. She was scared to say the least but the line coach noticed and talked her through it. She didn't want to shoot more than one on the 12 gauge as I'm sure most people can understand why. The line coach was nice and paused our time so we could rent a Glock for her to try out since she was feeling better after getting a big scary gun outta the way. Several of us were new to firearms and he presented the material clearly and thoroughly. His focus was on making sure we were comfortable, understood the material and could safely handle firearms. He encouraged and answered every question sincerely and patiently. It was an awesome experience. My wife took the class with ""Toby" and she felt the exact same way about him. In our time since the classes, we have met the owner, several members of the sales and range safety team. To a person, they are outstanding. They all engage quickly to help, answer questions and give advice. Many of them have a rich history in the field or military background. I have not encountered a business where from top to bottom the staff is so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The store had a great selection of supplies, ammo and forearms and has great prices.
