At one time Shooter's Service was the premier firearms dealer in Livonia and surrounding municipalities. After a divorce Roger moved to a smaller space across the street. Of course their inventory was reduced, but not the professionalism, not the quality of product, not their personal on-time service. Worst customer service I've ever seen I was told to order stuff on their online website it would be faster two months later still never received anything kept giving me the runaround then all of a sudden they want to try to refund me my money telling me that it's never going to show up. I grew up in the area and have been coming to Shooters since I was a boy. All the firearm purchases I've made have been from these guys. Granted , if you comparison shop you may find better prices elsewhere but you can count on Shooters to provide the Service you expect. They're knowledgeable and forthcoming with their opinions on the firearms they sell, not to mention they try to match the shooter with the weapon they're really looking for. Their used firearm selection is limited but top notch and once in a while you can find a real gem in the mix. I know they've got a new facility that I'm looking forward to checking out but I've always been pleased with the service and expertise from them. read more

Went here without an appointment because I couldn't get my shotgun back together after cleaning it. They took me in, cleaned the barrel again and put it back together in about 15 minutes. NO CHARGE! While I was there I even could buy ammo! Great place, Great People read more

This place has been around for decades and seems like dying a slow death the racks are always empty with no guns multiple times now they have been repairing damaged or under construction there was a very bad business partnership break up and the archery range is no longer a part of the business when you ask them what happened they are very spiteful and derogatory the owner is a perfect example of a grumpy curmudgeon I never thought I would get to use that word lol and the prices are definitely outrageous not as bad as action impact but it is kind of hard to overcharge I'm guns that don't exist or dust bunnies and empty brass save the trip head out to center mass or drive to double action if you want the old school feel read more

I've received nothing but top notch service, once they even went as far as to call the state police for me to check on a registration. Honestly I forgot they were there until I was complaining to my father about not being able to find a particular gun I was looking for, I called them said they weren't sure if any were coming in but I could stop by and look. I walked in saw them literally take it out of the box and I said can I buy that gun. Just like that, and just so the woman in my life doesn't know they let me put it on lay-a-way. Couldn't be nicer, I will go there exclusively from now on. Had just gotten stiffed at a competitor in Westland...needless to say they lost me as a customer for life, but I digress. If you need anything gun/archery/ammo wise I am sure if they don't have it they can get a hold of it rather quickly. Awesome staff, and great location on my way home from work. My grandfather, dad and myself have been going into Shooters since i was kid . Weve purchased most of our archery equipment and guns from them and had all our gunsmithing done there. I moved out of state a few years ago and recently returned to the area for a high school reunion. I went back to the store to see if they sold crossbows and discocvered they had moved across the street to a bigger location. I went in and couldn't believe that this was the same Shooters. The store had about 15 customers in it but had just 3 sales people working. The owners son Rodger was standing behind the register with some tall woman and both were drinking coffee while he was swearing at one of his counter men. Most unprofessional. I didn't recognize any of countermen. The shelves were half empty with poor variety of merchandise that was poorly layed out. I tried to get waited on at the archery counter but nobody was there and i could't get anyone to help me. A guy came out of a back room that I recognized from over the years as the gunsmith and asked him if Gary still worked there and he sayed yes but he wasn't in that day. He said he'd try to help me but admitted that he didn't know much about archery. I told him I would just come back at another time when Gary was in. I walked around for another few minutes and saw Rodger freak out again on another one of his countermen right in front of the customers. I can tell you that I won't be back there again. It's a shame to see a store that used to have everything and be so helpful to the customer, go so badly downhill as this place has. It wont be in busness too much longer. What a shame. read more
