Not what I expected, didn't care for the staff or facility. Plan on sticking with previous establishment.

Everything was neat and orderly, quality of care from check in to exit was excellent. The attendant's thorough review of any metal in or on was helpful and reassuring. Their staggered start of patients gave you a sense of being the only one they were focused on. I saw no other patient once being called back. The coded lockers were a plus, no key to remember. I have long hair so a scrub hat or something would have been helpful as the pulley did grab some, the attendant immediately stop me from entering in order to give me time to adjust it before the point of no return. once entering the cave the bed doesn't stop to make adjustments for this, and they don't want you moving. I highly recommend long haired people be told to put it up or in a braid before mri procedures. Instructions were clear, and precise, knowing about how long the procedure was, very helpful. Half way home my doctor called to have me come in the next day to discuss the findings, provide his recommendations and give me time to think. He covered the mri with me and showed me the procedure recommended using my mri instead of a plastic model, although he had one of those too. He was able to give me important points to consider and ample time to review the information. All this was fast and efficient because you provided his interface to the mri. The addition of the patient friendly report with explanations was the first I have ever seen and very easy to read and use, the whole experience was top drawer.

The Emergency Room is BRUTAL - I pray you don't have to be admitted to a room and can go home. The…read morelast two times we went ( meningitis and brain cancer) we waited at least 8 hours to get admitted. One to Oncology and the second time to ICU for advanced brain cancer. My 6'3' son was cramped into a bed for someone no taller than maybe 5'8' - the appearance of the area is antiquated and designed to make you NOT want to be there. I will highlight one phenomenal ER Dr. Cyrillo who basically figured out my son was in an advanced stage of terminal brain cancer. She took all the information and tracked down a recent MRI and put it all together. Oncology confirmed. There was a horrible horrible male nurse who wouldn't let me come in the back where my son was, until he ripped me a new one wanting to know why my sun was there. That he shouldn't be here. That this was a crap show- and had me crying thinking I had done the wrong thing. Turns out my son's head was immensely swollen and the MRI showed two huge brain tumors and other challenging issues from that. If it were left up to that nurse he could gave died within days and no one would have known why. All staff will tell you they are short-handed and can't keep people. You rarely see the same nurse two days in a row. You have to stay on them to get some basic things to happen, especially baths, food on time if at all, housekeeping - there was one faithful hardworking woman who cleaned our ICU room but if she wasn't there, good luck. If I were rating this hospital in their ER they would get a 0. If I were treating them on getting ER patients into rooms when that is ordered, they again get a 0 - even though we were told there was a room empty abd it coukd take an hour to theee hours, it took 8 hours. Nurses often skip doing their duties waiting instead for the next shift to come do it. Overall! It is a good hospital and there are many worthy and admirable employees we came into contact with. There is always parking somewhere. The hospital in general is appealing in appearance, good security, and great cafeteria! And after our experience with West Florida Hospital, ASH is hands down my choice! But ASH get your act together in that dismal, dungeon like ER! Get rid of the whiny nurses and get some people with some couth.

I spent five days at BMC, Pensacola, FL. The very first…read morething on my papers say, "fall risk... she won't fall." The hell I didn't!? Not that anyone listened to me? Not the night nursing staff. Though, I think they wanted to. Not the morning nursing staff. They didn't want to. And not the Doctor in charge of the entire nightmare. They all acted like I had never even opened my mouth. No, I didn't break anything that night, on July 26, 2022 ... but I sure did screw up my back and hip! Oh, did I mention I have asteatonic eczema? That means from the knees down, if my skin is exposed to any contaminant or toxin it goes directly into my body. Oh, and then they let me go a day early because, I was a "problem".... That is an even bigger story. That one involves elder abuse.... My problem.... I tried to take a shower in a shower, that I & the staff knew had fresh human feces in it. I know because, I witness what happened the night before to my 77 year old roommate in that shower. Not that anybody came to clean it up, because they hadn't had a janitor in over three days and nobody had even notice that they had not been there. There was literally shit dried on everything & the floors were filthy, 2 days before my accident. Then they tried to put me in a bed that wasn't clean. Which at least three staff members went to double check on, and said "oh yeah, it's fine." I used to own my own housekeeping company... that freaking bed was not clean, and was not even made. ALL this, after they admitted me telling me they had 70 patients in quarantine with Covid in that building. While they strip searched me in the dining area!!!! I also used to manage at two different restaurants. I don't think that the Health Dept would like it if they knew people were getting strip searched in the food area. Most of the staff, seemed spread between all wards, & we're also going back-and-forth to the main hospital intermingling with patients after they came out of that building & nobody was wearing a mask. I'm sicker than I've ever been. I can barely walk. And my health conditions have just multiplied & multiplied since August 1st. Three days after I was released. My research lies in bacterial, viral, fungal, yeast. Then there's the toxins that could possibly be present in murky, chunky sewer water, passed my ankles in their 30 year old facility shower, when I fell. I slammed my lower back into the metal porcelain molded seat in the corner. And my left leg (that had only recently come out of a cast) slammed into the front of the shower. I've been treated with all classes of antibiotic since that. I'm still not any better... Anybody else out there want to share their story with my story? I know I'm not the only person that's this miserable treatment in BMC has happened to?

I went to this clinic from my doctor's referral from a rear-ended collision. Back of My head and neck were injured. The technician put me on a hard surface without any support. About 30 minutes later I was in excruciating pain and I tried to tell the technician but he didn't provide me the button for assistance. I had to wait until it was ended. I explained how much loud and pain I am experiencing from this session. He said I still have to scan my back. This time he put me sit on the machine and asked me if I want some earplugs ! I said, you had earplugs and didn't offer me until now?!? And he said, would you like a pillow.. I said You have a pillow and didn't give me for my neck?? I was so upset. This technician is obviously pretty dumb and or just got the job. He shouldn't be working on a patient. After that horrible experience at this place, my neck was unbelievably painful and wasn't going away. I had to go to an ER to get treatment. I called and left a message to the MRI office but no follow up call and no one responded back to my voicemail. Absolutely terrible care quality. I strongly recommend that Not use this clinic.
