On my first visit I met with the dentist for half an hour before having my teeth cleaned by the hygienist. Today I have another visit with the dentist, who had to refill a cavity that another dentist had put in just last year that had already checked. the doctor did a fantastic job explaining what was happening as we were going along and I was out of the office and half an hour with absolutely no anxiety from the visit. This might be the friendliest dentist and office staff I have met. If you live in the Cromwell Rocky Hill wethersfield area, and are looking for a new dentist you might want to stop him... DON"T go here! My experience was horrible. This Dr. has poor bed manors. I canceled my F/U w/him. I…read morewld rather go to a walk-in. He rather prescribe narcotics instead of antibiotics. Literally saw the assistant sterilizing their instruments and after grabbing them with her bare hands (no gloves). Then when she notice I was across from her she saw I was watching her she slipped on some gloves. And now looking at some reviews. For those patients who has had an infection that maybe why? I had my molar pulled and the tooth broke so then he had to surgically remove it. It was a brutal experience. Sent home w/narcotics but no antibiotics, specially after the service i had. I will be in contact w/my dental insurance to make sure there is no fraudulent billing and/or copays. 23 years in the healthcare myself can not say anything positive about this doctor and/or his practice. It a matter of time and things will catch up. Again, I will not be going to my f/u. I will be contacting my insurance to make sure they don't try to bill for the f/u visit

I went to desk and said they should reschedule as I can not hang around idol all morning. 6/11 I sent them an E mail explaining they should explain to clients when they can not perform. 6/17 they sent me an invoice for service provided????? 6/17 I called the number on invoice to discuss errant invoice...straight to voice mail......Told then they were not paid because they did not provide any service and still did not reschedule? They don't return calls, lie and say they never got your answering service message and they just flat out don't care about anything it seems. When I've called there before I can barely hear because there are at least 3 other loud conversations going on in the background. The oral surgeon Dr. Murphy is a disaster and doesn't seem to know what he's doing (time to retire I'm thinking) they had my daughter in unnecessary pain for days after her 4 wisdom teeth were removed and dr. Murphy told her he was Gona take her sutures out and my daughter had to tell this doctor with a degree that she didn't have any sutures. His response was, "Even Better!" We are getting her a new dentist immediately. I can't believe how much this place has gone into the toilet but rumor has it that it was sold but the original dentist such as Dr. Schulman and Dr. Meister still work there. She's outta there. It has become Completely incompetent and a joke there.

I comparison shopped periodontists, did in-depth research and asked about Dr. Gelb. On average, Dr. Gelb charged close to twice as much for the implant with bone graft procedure. Billing has been a nightmare. He does not respond to my questions and continues to bill for a product I did not consent to and do not own. This is unprofessional conduct and especially surprising since he used to be the President of the local periodontists in the area.
