I have gone to Dr Shoemaker before for minor issues, and all went fine. Then last Sunday, my 10 year old started complaining of neck pain. He couldn't turn his head, and his shoulder was elevated on one side. After 2 days of this (and hoping it would go away on it's own) I took him to a chiropractor in Allentown. The only reason I took him elsewhere is because Dr Shoemaker posts shorter hours on Tuesdays. The pain was still there, and now his one hip was also elevated. On Wednesday, the pain and malalignment were still there. I called Dr Shoemaker, who fit him in within 2 hours. Dr Shoemaker said he has scoliosis and wryneck. He started working on my son's back and neck. My boy felt better almost immediately, and when he woke up the next morning, the wryneck was not detectable. Thank you, Dr. Shoemaker! As a parent, I am beside myself with joy and gratitude. I just thought you should know. read more

I've been to a few chiropractors before Dr. Shoemaker, so I figured that this will be another basic visit. Not at all actually. He listens and focused on the problem at hand and his treatments are awesome. I had a shoulder problem that just wouldn't go away but the first visit I had with Dr. Shoemaker and my shoulder was immediately better after the second visit my shoulder was amazing. He very skilled and good at teaching healthy ways to better your health from home as well as awesome corrections from his office. I never had a chiropractor that was able to attack my injuries and not only help heal them but also good pain management. I definitely recommend Dr. Shoemaker! read more

I have been going to chiropractors for at least 10 years now, not saying that these doctors haven't helped me, but I was talking to my daughter about her chiropractor and how much he has helped her and her family. They live in Florida now and their chiropractor lives in Georgia and yes they travel 31/2 hours to go to their chiropractor. The reason is that this chiropractor does Advanced Extremity Adjustment. She told me about Dr. Shoemaker here in Bethlehem and that I should go to him. He is the only chiropractor that I found in this area that does Advanced Extremity Adjustments. That it would make a World of Difference and I can Honestly say that it has. I only wished that I had listened to her sooner. Dr. Shoemaker has a softer and more appointed approach to your extreme area's. I would recommend Dr. Shoemaker for anyone in major pain. read more

Shoemaker is the man!! He is so amazing at what he does, he has helped me when no other doctor could. I was having terrible problems with my wrists due to playing guitar and the computer and had gone to extensive physical therapy. They didnt help me at all and were considering evasive surgery, I really didnt want to do that so I then went to see Shoemaker, he adjusted a vertebre in my spine that was effecting a nerve and worked on my wrists and now I dont have wrist problems anymore!! I cant thank him enough, he always spend his time asking questions and explaining everything. He really cares about his patients and loves his job. Go see him today! =] read more

I highly recommend Dr Shoemaker. I have been going to his practice for many years. We moved over an hour away and I will still make the drive if I need an adjustment. He is always learning new techniques and has helped teach me new stretches to do at home. He even has a nickname in our house - "Magic hands". Thank you Dr Shoemaker! read more

I have been going to Dr. Shoemaker for a little about a year now. I've seen two other excellent chiropractic practitioners in the area and I have to say he's the best. He utilizes the best of technological breakthroughs with great chiro technique. He used a laser on my sinuses (suffered from chronic sinusitis since childhood) and I had relief with hours! Also, experienced a great deal of relief from pain and discomfort from a concussion after adjustments to my skull and neck from the fall and impact. read more

I contacted Dr Shoemaker in the summer of 2012 regarding my lower back disc injuries and leg pain. As a former healthcare provider and always putting my patients first, I had let my own health suffer for over 5 years. Dr. George is a 30 plus year practitioner, he posseses the same excitement about his profession as a first year grad. He continuosly seeks out the newest technologies as well as staying on top of the skills he already posseses with continuing education. Dr. G. has many "tools" in his bag too handle numerous conditions beyond neck and back pain. Regarding the results of my treatment. We treated my lower back pain with manual chiropractic adjustments, muscle therapy, laser, spinal decompression, and home exercise. In addition, natural detoxification treatments were recommended to remove the toxins within my body. I am currently receiving treatment 2x per month with an overall improvement of 80% since starting care. Having over 5 years of pain and improving to that percentge within 6 months is fantastic. I highly recommend you see Dr. Shoemaker for an evaluation and treatment. Regards, Dr. C. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. George Shoemaker for about 25 years. During that time he has helped me, my husband and all of my 7 children with more health issues than I can remember. He is one of the most caring people I have ever known, and is an incredible doctor of chiropractic. He is constantly learning about and utilizing the latest advances in his field. I will focus on just one of the problems he has helped me with. A month ago, I mentioned to him in desperation that my feet were so painful that I was fearful of ending up in a wheelchair. To my surprise, he told me that he is now using low level laser therapy that could definitely help my feet. When I went out to my car after the first treatment, I actually cried, because I finally had hope that my feet could be healed. After 4 treatments with the laser and other more traditional methods, I would say that the results are miraculous, except that the "miracle" is in this doctor's caring and expertise. All day long, I am aware of finally walking again without the constant pain that had accompanied me for so long. Dr. Shoemaker has my eternal gratitude for giving me back my mobility! Horrible at scheduling. We have gone about 5 times and 3 out of those 5 times we got there on time and had to wait about 45 minutes to be seen. We traveled about 1.5 hours, so waiting that long on top of it wasn't entirely fun. He did help with the issues that I was having until the last time. He over books and I could tell he was rushed last visit. My hip and leg were getting better until that visit. He yanked my leg and made it worse. He hurried to get us in and out. So we rescheduled for 11 today so that I could address leg issue and have him fix it for me. When we arrived his receptionist said we were scheduled for 12. Someone wrote it in the book wrong. Well she huffed like it was our fault and had quite an attitude. She said she would fit us in anyway. My husband I were not happy with the way she treated us. My family member was along and she had the same vibe. They mischeduled and made us feel like we were at fault. We walked out. We gave Dr. Shoemaker a call. Basically in the nicest way he could he insinuated that we were pretty much wrong and she's the sweetest lady and has been his right hand girl for 20 years. Well if you haven't seen the attitude that THREE PEOPLE saw plain as day, sorry. We won't be coming back. So if you have a lot of time to spare and don't mind attitude he can help. He knows his stuff. I just prefer to be treated with respect. read more
