Now Shoe Zone in Burnley might seem like a place to grab a bargain pair of shoes. Located right in the town centre, next to Boots, it's windows are filled with promises of low prices, BOGOF offers and more sales than you can shake a hat at. But these are false promises I tell you since if you venture inside, you'll find that the offer only applies to a selection of two styles of shoes, often only available in one size. On the whole the shoes are still relatively cheap, but the money you save is due to some serious cuts in terms of quality and comfort. I've foolishly bought shoes from here on more than one occasion and they've fallen apart after only a few wears. The staff aren't particularly helpful in that they wait for you to track them down rather than offering you advice. They also have little to do since they always answer that all the stock they have is on the shop floor so if you can't find it, they don't have it. On the whole, I'd recommend spending a little bit more for better quality shoes that will at least last longer than a week. read more
