I just stopped in at The Shoe Place at Thames Leas Plaza to see if they had any dress flats. I explained that my sister had bought a pair online but that I wanted purchase locally. The manager was dismissive and rude. I had not been there for awhile and then I remembered why. He is always aloof and pretentious. I will drive to Ridgetown like I did when Lucky Lady advertised their sale on Sketchers. They treated me so well by showing me different styles and colours. The drive was well worth it. read more

Today was the third time that I have been to this store and had terrible customer service, I promise that I will not be giving any more chances and I will never dawn the doors of this business. One visit I was asking about a specific Birkenstock shoes which they didn't have. Instead of offering to order the shoes for me, they told me that I should order directly from the Birkenstock website. Today I entered the store to look at the Oofos brand of shoes and two female employees were standing near the front counter, no customers in sight. I had to make eye contact with them and say "hi there, how are you today" or they would have continued on with the conversation that I was apparently interrupting. I was then never asked if I needed any help, but instead had to ask whether they had additional sizes that I might be able to try on. Needless to say, I left the store without any shoes and will NEVER set foot in that store again. When you are a small business in a small town, you should be doing everything possible to help customers. read more
