I snapped a picture of advertisement on the outside of the store as well. Being a gentleman because, in my world chivalry isn't dead, I opened the door for a lady that was going inside, and then I entered. I started snapping a few more pictures because, That's our "FORTE". They guy comes from the back while I am snapping and talks to the lady customer, abruptly ceases communicating with the lady and fused me up one side and down the other asking who I am and why am I taking pictures. My response was, you should finish helping the lady and then we can talk. He responds with no, why you take picture, no take picture on inside only outside. I replied that I can delete the pictures and that I am a customer and I came to purchase shoestrings. another lady came in and I am waiting to be serviced. He ignored me, left me standing there. A third lady entered the establishment; he asks her what she wanted. at this point, I asked "was I next?" He said, I no customer, and basically disregarded me as a customer and refuse to sell me shoelaces. Poor Value and service! The sad part, his business is located in an urban community, and nearly all of his revenue comes from Black customer- whether African American or from West Indian backgrounds. His customer service was very poor going on the assumptions that he can treat shoppers from the community in a degrading manner. I will not ever spend money in this business, I will not recommend this business, nor will I support business that are disrespectful. Areas of improvements- At minimum, he should consider taking an introductory customer-service course. His approach to dealing with the public shows he hasn't mastered even the simplest standard of respect or professionalism. I wish I could give a quarter of a star, but he earned one!
