Please disregard the previous two reviews. They were posted years ago, and there is a completely different staff under completely different management now.
I have had very positive experiences here. The staff are very nice and helpful and honest. And they do have a public restroom now. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 is because it isn't as big as other Shoe Dept's, so they don't have a huge selection, what they do have is pretty good. Prices are reasonable, and you can catch good sales if you know where to look. I go here frequently to shop for shoes and I usually find something, but not always.
The way I understand it, everything is out on the floor, so there's no back stock. They get shipments every week, sometimes it's mostly new, sometimes it's more of what they already have. It depends on the time of year it is, cuz fashion. They also have stuff like backpacks, purses, accessories, and shoe care items. They have layaway year-round, you just need to make a down payment, and they also hold items for a few days free of charge. Since this is only one store, they don't have everything the company carries, but they do have an online store that has everything. Because Shoe Dept has actual stores, you can bring in any online purchase for a refund or exchange, you just need a receipt.
Their return policy is a little more flexible than most places. As long as not a rediculous amount of time has passed, like a year, then they'll take something back as long as you have your receipt, and the shoes are still in new condition. I learned all this overtime by asking the staff members.
