19th May, myself and 3 others went to this restaurant, we hadn't booked and were accomodated which was fab seeing as we had made no reservation, and it had been a hot day. The streets were bustling and every where was filling up fast as it does on a Saturday evening.
We must have arrived at around 19:30 19:45. We sat, and sat, and sat, and sat, and finally were given menu's and offered drinks.
Drinks came, and we ordered.
Now, I'm not sure if the waiting staff took a dislike to us, but the service was incredibly slow. The waiter who served us was chewing gum, he was disinterested, looking over us as spoke, just rude towards us.
However, the food came out, and it was absolutley wonderful. We all had different meals as we tend to, and we all tried each others, and there was nothing that wasn't cooked to perfection.
When we were done, half of the table was cleared, and the rest was piled up and left infront of me on the table. I tried to hand the waiter my plate, and he said no and walked away.
We asked for the bill which took 25 minutes, and me standing up putting on my jacket before anyone botherd to come over.
No tip was left, but compliments to the chef.
I would advise take away from here unless you have the patients of a saint and all the time in the world.
I have worked Silver Service, and it doesn't take much to smile and be polite, and not chew gum. read more
