    Where do I even begin with this place? 6 months ago I went…read morein for a free exam and to get more info about hearing aids. The exam process was fine, but afterwards I was brought into room where they go over your results. Looking back now this was all a huge scam setup to run your insurance. Veronica who was going over the plans and devices pointed at the one that was the most expensive. I think it was around $10,000. As you might imagine my eyes got big and I laughed. She insisted that I try to see if insurance would cover it. She said sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Looking back I should've either flat out said "no" or ask her to call instead of running it. After all of that and not knowing yet if they were covered she gave me a demo pair to try out and I went home. Later that evening Veronica called back and said "Sorry, it looks like they didn't fully cover them." I said "Oh well I had a feeling, thank you for trying, but I think I'm going yo go a different route." Veronica's tone changed because she didn't get the sale. I told her I would drop off the demos and that was it. Fast forward to now being October and I've had quit a few Dr appointments, but didn't notice any of the bills coming in the mail. That led me to check my health plan info and I saw that I had met my deductible. I knew this was a mistake, but I've only done routine Dr visits or urgent care. When I scrolled down I saw "Kabel Hearing LLC" $1200 was applied to my deductible and in big red letters and numbers I say "You may owe $9,510" I freaked out bc I never purchased anything from them. I called my healthcare advocate company Accolade. My person was looking it over and she had an unsettling feeling about this. She called and no response. I went to Kabel Hearing and spoke to Jackson at the desk and he was very friendly as I told him the situation. Jackson went ahead and got Tonya Cottles-Townsel. I explained what I could to her and she was looking at me all crazy and didn't understand. I had this printed out and she still wasn't understanding. Let's be real. I can't be the only person that has had insurance ran and it not be covered, so just retract the claim. Tonya said she knew I didn't purchase anything and there wasn't an agreement. I'm sorry but do you want $9,500 in red with "you may owe" and just take a person word for it that you don't? So I left there and from then on they were screening my and accolades calls. After days we finally got the health plan involved. They reached out and like magic Tonya answered the phone. I guess Tonya had never encountered this before (I call Bullshit) My health plan said that there was little they could do bc I found out it was "out of network." The next day I went back to Kabel and say Jackson again and he said that my health care plan should've taken care of it. I said no you guys need to call and reverse the claim. I asked if I could have something in writing from them stating I didn't owe them anything (again, why is this so fucking hard other than they're trying to scam you) Tonya now didn't have the balls to come and talk to me, but I could hear her tell Jackson she wasn't doing it. Jackson came back with this "Invoice" with the most vague description that said $0. I didn't get a good look bc he was shoving me out the door. I said "well, can you at least sign this?" He didn't. Since all of this I've tried to find a way to get in touch with the owner of Kabel Hearing LLC. You can't Ryan Kabel is like "Charlie" from "Charlie's Angels" and all they do is cover for each other. That was a red flag now after the fact AND let me also mention that they don't have an office phone, they all use cell phones for work HOW SHADY IS THAT. I've now got BBB involved and if they still don't comply I'm getting a lawyer. Kabel Hearing LLC is shady shady business. Do not go there.

    So it has now been exactly one week since I visited this place. I still do not have my results,…read morenobody has called me back and they refused to answer my calls. I called them last Thursday to get my results. I was put on hold for long periods of time. Mind you I was at work on my break. I got tired of holding and would hang up. When I called they said they were busy and had lots of patients. I spoke to the business office manager and she said she would get my chart. When she got back on the phone she told me what the chart said but that she didn't know what the results meant and the doctor or his nurse would call me back. Nobody did of course. So at this point I'm done playing phone tag with these people. I am filing a complaint with my insurance and the Alabama medical board. I noticed a lot of seniors go here and it makes me wonder if they treat them the way I was treated. When they come in with bladder infections do they just send them away and tell them to take over the counter pain meds? Do they even call them with the results of labs? Lastly I had to break down go to the ER for my UTI. Within an hour they diagnosed me with a UTI, prescribed me antibiotics, and I was on my way. I've been on my meds now for 3 days and I feel a lot better. Alabama has the WORST medical care. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I experienced a great lack of office understanding when it came to procedural patient health concerns that were so basic that you would expect the front office area to be able to reply. Dana came across very unschooled when it came to relating to patient needs. She is not fit to be working in the medical arena. There is a required decorum and skill necessary when dealing with the public and she certainly lacked it. She screamed and hollered like an uncontrollable crazy lady toward me two different times when I requested to know who I was speaking with when I had a question regarding Medicare - being that it was my first year. She favors trying to degrade and intimidate another when she thought they were inquiring to much information. I know she gets on to me about me not taking my meds like she…read moreexpect me too but a lot of it as to do with depression and sometimes forgetting and I just give up on myself a lot I mean a lot... she over ride me even when she upset with me cause she just want me to have the best care I can get... she avoided pain pills like tye flu and I understand why, cause u can get hooked on pain meds.... I was taking something for my headache or something even non non nacardic pill I was taking I had to stop taking it cause I was getting addiction to the meds... (I can get extremely high on over count pain meds... never took meds as a kid all the way up until my early 20s... she always find natural ways to help u... ppl as bad mouth her cause she won't throw out pain pills so ppl kill or hurt themselves plus pain meds it ur liver up anyway... she was the most caring loving doctor I know of.... she will be greatly missed by me for sure ..(Setting here crying) if reading this DR. Clemons I want u to know u was the best doctor I know, I'm going to miss u deeply. I don't want no other doctor besides u... I know u going through health situations, I be praying for u.... I love u DR. Clemons !!! And I be missing the staff as well very loving crew u had over the years! I'm all up in my feelings.... u take care and enjoy life to the fullest u deserve that! She was not a good listener, very rushed, ignored some things I said. Just awful experience. Will NEVER GO AGAIN. She was very rude too, and didn't care about my pain.
