The toys in the waiting room could be cleaner too. Not a fun job, but it sends the wrong message about the staff if things aren't clean.

This is unacceptable since she should have fixed the root issues instead of leaving us with more problems down the road. Initially, she appears so pleasant but that changes simply by asking questions and wanting to be informed about the course of your child's treatment. Once questions are asked, her disposition instantaneously shifts to annoyed and continues on to hostile if you didn't receive her chilling response to your former questions. This has been my experience from the beginning, but you are already locked in because you have already started your payment plan. Even though COVID is over, parents are not permitted in the office unless you are granted permission. You are not even permitted up with a mask without prior approval. This has nothing to do with COVID but Dr. McCarthy's petulance to control EVERY narrative/decision. Recently, my son who is a minor called me from his appointment to inform me that Dr. McCarthy wanted to do x-rays. I told him to wait as I was going to call the office because I was sitting in my car in the parking lot and I wanted an explanation why the x-rays were needed. The staff member who is always friendly and kind informed Dr. McCarthy I was on the phone and questioning the x-rays, and all I heard was a nasty, loud response from Dr. McCarthy. I requested to speak with the doctor as I did not want the x-rays until I spoke with the doctor and approved the x-rays. Well that didn't happen... the x-rays were done. I called back again and requested to speak with the doctor and stated that I did not give my consent for these x-rays.... Still did not get the opportunity to speak with Dr. McCarthy. Dr. McCarthy needs to control the situation and the narrative every step of the way. I was hoping for a working relationship between the parent and the provider. You will not get this here....

Entire staff very communicative and explain in detail appointment schedule, payment structure to monthly 'brace maintenance'. Fees are similar to other orthodontics practices in area.
