Among my favorite of his qualities is his ability to be direct and frank with his patients. He demands honesty and trust, which are two of the cardinal tenets of psychotherapy. It won't work otherwise. I always have and will feel completely comfortable speaking with Dr. Fayer and I highly value his approach, his methods, and his advice. He is very attentive and frequently checks in with patients. I also feel strongly that Dr. Fayer is the ideal choice for struggling patients who need to determine what medication(s) are best for treatment and laying the foundations for establishing a healthy lifestyle, balanced mood, and high self esteem. Dr. Fayer will help you tremendously, but you have to do the work yourself, which he'll masterfully guide you through. He genuinely cares very much about his patients' welfare, feelings, success, and the integrity of his craft. He's very warm and approachable, unlike many shrinks out there, and i always feel encouraged rather than intimidated to share something with him thats difficult. It is no coincidence that I also experienced immense personal and spiritual growth during these years of working with Marie. Marie is not only a fantastic psychologist and EMDR practitioner, but she is also one of the kindest, most genuine, and most compassionate individuals I have ever encountered. Her style is extremely warm, supportive, and encouraging; she truly empathizes with her clients and utilizes an individualized approach that is primarily centered on her clients' goals - rather than what she thinks would be best for her clients. I found myself feeling very empowered by this approach, feeling truly in the driver's seat with my care during our sessions. That said, she is not afraid to challenge clients when needed, though no matter what she says or does, she proceeds with heartfelt compassion - and a warm, healthy sense of humor. Through her unconditional kindness, compassion, and empathy, Marie helped to reflect back to me my own basic goodness, which I had lost touch with. Even though I couldn't see it, she was persistent in her warmth and encouragement and I am forever grateful for the work we've done together. I feel a profound shift in my life and how I view myself, and I know others around me have witnessed this shift as well. I highly recommend Marie for all work - especially relating to trauma, because she is a fantastic EMDR and NLP practitioner with a very intuitive approach. She is truly the best of the best.
