This is the closest convenience store to the house I grew up in. Before that it was M&S, a stark contrast in environments. Shirley Express has it all, tobacco, fruit and veg, and household supplies. They haven't been around for decades like many shops in Shirley. The premises used to be a pro-golf store, again another stark contrast from what Shirley used to be like and what it has now become.
The convenience store looks like it has been dragged down the Stratford Road from Sparkhill. The outside of the shop is full of produce, creeping upon the pavement and into the gutter.
I admittedly have an issue with hygiene, and I'm not too sure about this place. I like things well wrapped and untouched.
