Traditionally, people tend to stick to what they know when it comes to Japanese cuisine/Sushi restaurant. It took us a long time to choose what to have because there's so many fantastic things on the menu, but our waiter, Equiel, helped us tremendously. Equiel was exceptionally knowledgeable of the menu, had a great personality, and was wonderful in his attention to us. Thank you Equiel! Ultimately we had what amounted to between a quarter to half of the menu and shared between us as a group, and this really gave us the opportunity to try out everything. Make no mistake, everything is fantastic here. You can't go wrong with anything. One piece of advice, stay away from the soy sauce at first. Not because it's bad, but because you simply don't need it. The food here is made in an incredibly flavorful manner where nothing more needs to be added to it. Truly not something you see very often in Sushi restaurants. One primary reason for this, is because most pieces come with Soy Sauce Pearls on them, delivering a perfect balance. At the end of the day this place is not cheap, but in the context of Zurich, it's not crazy expensive either, and far more importantly, it's well worth it, and I'd be happy to come here and the other locations of Kai Sushi many times more in the future. I swear, I've had better sashimi at the supermarket.
