Update: Came back for round two because I clearly have no self-control when it comes to making my car look better. This time I got a 55% ceramic tint on the front windshield and a full color correction with ceramic coating on the rest of the car, and now it basically looks like it should be parked inside a showroom instead of my garage. The tint makes driving so much more comfortable and cooler, and the paint is glossy, smooth, and ridiculously easy to keep clean. As usual, Kelly the owner and the whole Shine Detailing crew were awesome--friendly, helpful, and on top of every detail. They actually finished my car earlier than promised and even cleaned the inside of my car, which was absolutely not part of the deal but very much needed. It has been 1 year since Kelly and his team worked on my 2023 4Runner. I was searching for a Gtechniq accredited detailing shop and Shine Detailing is one of the few in Orange County. So I called Kelly and he explained the process to me. (I am no stranger to having my vehicles protected with PPF and ceramic coating. I also detail my own vehicles). What Kelly told me made me feel comfortable in his expertise and type of service his company provides. After delivery of my vehicle from the dealership, I brought it to Shine Detailing within a week. The entire vehicle received a 2-step paint correction & Xpel PPF on the front portion, which includes: hood, front bumper, headlights, fog lights, grill, mirror caps, A-pillar, and both fenders. The entire vehicle was then finished in Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra (one of the best products). After my vehicle was completed, I picked it up and Kelly took time to explain what his team did. I was super impressed by the level of detail from Kelly and his team. Maintenance is very easy. There's little to know scratches, but proper washing techniques are important. I do not have to do paint correction nor waxing as I often did in several years past with other non-ceramic coated vehicles all because of the ceramic coating Shine Detailing applied. I take great pride in keeping my vehicle clean and especially with it being black. Currently, I use Gtechniq and Koch Chemie (GSF) products and I always do a final D.I. water rinse with my CR Spotless DIC20 through a pressure washer. Every 6 months, I use Gtechniq W6 Iron & Fallout Remover to maintain the hydrophobic properties of the Crystal Serum Ultra. Additionally, I always use C2 Ceramic Sealant after every wash no matter what to again, maintain the hydrophobic properties of the Crystal Serum Ultra. 3 days ago, I took my vehicle off roading for the first time. My vehicle went through rocks, dirt and some tree branches. After arriving at home, I was worried about scratches, but I could not tell because of the heavy sand on my car. So I immediately washed my vehicle and discovered there were no scratches. I was so relieved and I am so glad I received PPF and ceramic coating from Shine Detailing. Otherwise, my paint would have been torn up. I would highly recommend reaching out to Shine Detailing for your PPF and ceramic coating needs. I definitely recommend Xpel PPF and Gtechniq products. Again, Shine Detailing is accredited with Gtechniq and this information is verifiable through Gtechniq USA's website. I reached out to them to get my 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SEL wrapped with the XPEL paint protection film. He responded very quickly to my inquiry and was able to give me a very fair and competitive price for a whole body PPF. I was in a very unique situation since I work and live all the way out in the Barstow area and he made special accommodations so I could drop off my vehicle after hours. While my car was in the shop, he kept me updated and even sent me pictures of the finished product. The entire full body PPF took them 3 business days (dropped off Thursday night and finished by next Wednesday afternoon). Unfortunately, due to my work situation I was unable to come by to pick it up during business hours but they were able to get a lock box set up with my keys securely placed inside.
