We rented a pontoon this past weekend. This is our 3rd or 4th time renting from Fergersons. We hit something in the water, before we were even out of the no wake zone and bent the prop. We immediately turned around back to the dock. The young man that was there was very nice and friendly. He and another co worker, a young female helped us get into a different boat, the young lady told us to enjoy our day out. The female owner was very unkind about the incident, which obviously was an accident, we never meant to purposely damage the pontoon. We understood her frustration from the damage, just wish she would've understood our frustration with the accident. My husband and I, both work with the public and customer service and have a small business, so we know how unpleasant the public can be, so we try to be as kind as we can be, especially when uncontrollable circumstances occur. When we returned for the day we were hit with the damage fees, which totaled over $1200, that is not including boat rental and gas. This ended up being a $2000 boat trip. You would think we would have some good graces and given somewhat of a break on the costs of the damage, instead just treated horribly. The male owner was also present when we had to pay the fees and but he was very friendly, which was much appreciated. This was a huge hit financially to us, being small business owners of our own and she made it so much worse, by being so hateful. I feel like we were treated unfairly. We will never rent from Fergerson again. It was just a horrible experience.

I called to see what the price per gallon was for gas at this marina and the lady was rude and told me they don't give out prices over the phone. News flash: Not only will I never step foot in your marina now (even though I have my boat nearby), you've missed a great opportunity to get a new customer. Also, every other marina I called that day gladly gave me their prices over the phone. Your not wanting to give prices over the phone has hurt your business and cost you $. You may want to either rethink that policy or lower your prices if they are so outrageous that you are embarrassed to verbalize them over the phone. We all know that word of mouth is everything up in those parts so you may want to become a little more friendly to potential customers and homeowners in the area.

So our lake experience was hindered because of difficulty of getting into the boat when we got out for swimming. We brought it to John's attention when we returned.We realized then that they knew it was damaged and rented it to us anyway. I asked for some type of compensation after renting a boat for $600 that was suppose to have a working ladder. John said he could pay for our gas which would amount to about $75. When it was refueled the amount was $29. I asked about the remainder being put toward our rental. John said he never said $75. I told him he was lying because I would not have any idea to the amount it cost to refuel. He told me to get out of his store. I had read a few other reviews where this marina was difficult to work with if there was a problem. I should have listened. So I am writing this review to warn others that Eden Isle Marina is not a reputable business.

We now just rent a boat when we come in town. My experience speaking with the girls who work at Heber Marina was wonderful. They were so kind. We decided to rent a boat before the rainy Memorial Day weekend started. It was cloudy but we were optimistic. Once we were out there it was freezing. We had to come back in. I was hoping we could use the 3 hrs of the 4 we rented at another time. This was not an option since it was "not raining" (although it was sprinkling). This was very disappointing. We will not be renting from them again. Also, the boat was not very clean. Under one of the seats it was filled with water as well as the cup holders had water in them. Very disappointed in how they treated a long time customer.

He will come get your boat if you live out of town, and will come to the local Marinas as well. He has always been reliable and fair with me. I had an issue with a jet ski that required connecting to an in depth diagnostic tool that he didn't have. He recommended another place (ghetto works).that specialized in SeaDoo. I appreciated that! You can send him a check, or pay by Venmo, or cash app. Definitely recommend him for boat maintenance/repair.
