The buffet was catered and is a sample of what might be offered at a service. This small location is behind the HEB in Bastrop. You park in the front and side is where cars may line up if there was a procession. The only negative issue was there there is only 1 mens and 1 women's bathroom and so there can be quite a wait for bathrooms depending on the crowd. there are nice chairs but not a lot of table space.

One other thing you notice is that almost every grave is adorned with flowers and personal trinkets. This is still an active cemetery with many recent interments with plenty of room left. Quite a number of the headstones have porcelain photographs of the decedents. The majority of the headstones appear to be Hispanic in origin. I did not spot any headstones that went back before 1930. There is no Texas historical sign or informational kiosk at this location. Should you decide to make this your forever home, the photos included might help with your choice.

I called around to get some quotes on having a photograph printed on a porcelain memorial piece which is then afixed to the headstone. They were definitely the most reasonably priced, but I was surprised that this service is close to the $300 mark (some places wanted more). Normally it would be a little more because they'll carve out a spot on the headstone and afix it for you, but I just needed to get it to go and take it with me out of state. Just so you know, this service takes about a month to do. There's also one other unique thing you'll find here. In the back of their parking lot are five different food trucks to choose from. They are not very visible from Burnet Road and they do have some outdoor seating as well. Plenty of photos to get you acquainted.

The information that animals are buried in this wooded park is openly advertised so it stands to reason that if you purchase a plot in an area where animals may be buried, you may expect to have an animal buried near your plot. They wouldn't even schedule the funeral until after the meeting so it was going to be 2-3 weeks away.
