I just came from this store and was appalled. To say the customer service was poor would be an…read moreunderstatement. My partner and I went in to look at hiking boots, specifically Keens. I have several pairs of Keens and they are great so we thought a pair would be good with her too. My partner looked that the 2 boots in the mid-high style that would suit her and asked to try a pair on. The attendant noted that my partner needed to be certain what she wanted to try on as there COVID precautions meant the boots needed to sit in the back for 24hrs after someone tried them on. While my partner tried on the boots I asked for the model info, the initial response from the attendant was "they are Keens" (not duh) Me: yes but what model are they? Attendant: they are in the Targee family I wanted to know the specific model (not the family) as I am familiar with Keens this is still not the info I was asking so I picked up the display boot to Google the product number. Attendant: what are you just going to try them on here and buy them online?! Me: no I asked you for the model info and you wouldn't give it to me. I am familiar with Keens - see the Targees on my feet. My partner concluded that the wide toe box of Keens are not for her, but regardless we would not be buying from this store regardless. I have stopped in this store several times over the years and purchased stuff and least once a year. I have tolerated the poor/gruff customer service in the past to support local, but this was the nail in the coffin. The ownership need to get rid of that woman (the attendant) if they want to survive!! She is unreal... Regardless of if someone is trying something to potentially buy online an interaction like that will not help the local business and it actually will do what it did for us which is deter us from supporting that local store anymore. Here's hoping the business had drawn out and painful death!!

These folks are a treasure. When I moved here, I needed everything: work pants, overalls, boots,…read morework jackets. In the period of the pandemic when we could go into stores, they were incredibly helpful - safely managing trying things on, finding alternate sizes, pushing me to some items on sale that saved a bundle. Great Helly Hansen workwear, work socks, pretty solid selection of work boots - I came away fully equipped. As soon as stores open, I'm heading back. Nice family run business.

On my recent venture for sandals, I found myself at Aldo a few times. I went in, I came out. I went…read morein, I came out....I ended up buying 2 pair of sandals and a day later, returned both of them and in turn bought 2 more pair from the same location. I think my style changed overnight! I find Aldo has a good selection of shoes, but just not for me. I am not into 4 inch heels and although they have some pretty shoes, I'd rather not set out to kill myself just because the shoes are stunningly beautiful! The prices are usually a bit higher at Aldo compared to other shoe stores. The staff are 'ok' - nothing to give them kudo's about. Overall, I will continue to shop Aldo. Good selection, fairly pricey but a good, quality shoe.

Recently I needed to grab a pair of shoes for a friends wedding. After checking around a few stores…read moreI stopped in Aldo with pretty low expectations, but left with my mind changed and a new pair of shoes. The staff at this location were really friendly and worked hard to search out a pair of heels in my size (no easy task) in a couple different styles. They were also honest about how they looked, which was refreshing. Sometimes, no matter how much you like a pair of shoes, it's important to hear somebody say, "I'm not sure if those are going to work." After I picked out my shoes, I had a look around the store and found a lot of really nice accessories for men and women. I personally thought the men's accessories were a little nicer overall, but that's just me. I left Aldo with a great pair of shoes and a real interest in shopping there again. If you're looking for a stylish shoe at a decent price I think Aldo is definitely an option worth checking out.

OMG now I know how Carrie Bradshaw feels in Sex in the City. Shoes, shoes and more shoes. And the…read moredangerous part is that there is a 50% off sale, shhh please don't tell anyone until I get back down. I went two years ago and walked out with three pairs yikes. But yes I do love them and I still keep them in the box after I wear them. Now it is true what they say is that you get what you paid for and when these sales like this happens you can actually afford these shoes and they will last. My black patten wedges which is now going on their third summer look like new. John David shoes has been around for sometime and specializes in high quality high fashions shoes. From flats to those stilettos that will make any ones head turn to Gladiators. Funny I was with my BFF yesterday and we were looking through the window like I kid at Disneyland would saying I want those and those. We are going back today look out.

Most of the boots seemed to have a lot of the crocodile skin look in flashy colours. And other than boots, it was mostly strappy, open-toed heals, some of which still had the croc skin look. Not that I have anything against that look, some people can really pull it off. But it's not for me. The shoe pricing was still pretty expensive, even though there was a %50 off sale. I couldn't imagine seeing the actually cost of those shoes. I'm probably just jealous that I can't afford them though. I guess a lot of people can because the store was pretty full of women. In fact, there wasn't an open seat to try anything on because there were so many people in there. There was one really nice salesguy that I encountered. I was looking at some flats and he came over and told me that most of them had a built-in gel cushions or insoles. He took a moment to show me what he meant, then smiled and walked to someone else. I loved that he didn't stick around by my side and shop with me, much like some other salespeople might. It was just a nice experience that I thought I'd share with you.
