I am an RN who has been using the Shiftkey app since 2023. I work in multiple states via the Shiftkey app. I embrace and understand the 1099 role. You will not receive any clinical support as you are an independent contractor. You will be responsible for paying and managing your federal and state taxes. I do not have anything bad to say about Shiftkey. I am going to keep rocking with them. My concerns are always addressed, and I reach out for an explanation when I have a question. Nurses, beware -- you may not get paid on time. I verified my Instant Pay setup with two different ShiftKey agents before working my first shift. Both confirmed everything was ready. No one mentioned that my debit card needed to remain unlocked, which caused my first payment to be blocked. I unlocked my card immediately and it has stayed unlocked. I received my second payment instantly, but after my third shift, I haven't been paid--and once again, they're trying to claim my card is locked, which is absolutely false. I've been texting their help desk since shortly after 3:00 p.m. It's now 6:06 p.m., and after 2.5 hours, they still say they can't reach payroll. There is no phone number to contact anyone directly, and the help desk gives scripted, generic replies with no escalation process. They originally told me I'd be paid within 48-72 hours. That was four days ago, and now I'm being told it could take up to 120 hours. I no longer trust what they're saying--because I've already been misled. After reading the Google reviews, I saw that this is not an isolated issue. One nurse wrote that she waited 480+ hours after being told she'd be paid in 72. This issue has been ongoing for years, and ShiftKey still hasn't fixed it. This is a multi-million dollar company that is not paying its nurses. They: Fail to disclose key Instant Pay requirements Routinely delay payments without explanation Offer no live support or accountability Blame nurses instead of owning their internal problems If you're considering working for ShiftKey--don't. SHIFTKEY responded to my complaint, told to to reach out to the help line. STILL NOTHING!!! IM BEGGING FOR A FORM I AM LEGALLY OBLIGATED TOO... the IRS confirmed today that they did not send over anything on their end.. this is literally tax fraud. I've been penalized from the IRS. I DROVE HOURS TO SHIFTKEY OFFICE, A LADY PROMISED ME HELP and took my info.. it's been 4 days... nothing. I am literally in awe at the lack of help. Frustration isn't even the word. I have not been paid for two weeks! I have tried to call and receive the same information every time with no update. Very BAD employer.

PLEASE DO NOT USE SHIFT KEY!!!! I applied for Shift Key February 7th 2025, submitted everything that was required of me, and was told by representative that my state's abuse forms had digital signatures and they required hand written signatures. I corrected the forms as requested and sent them back. Fast forward to March 5th I still had not heard anything back from them, and called to check the status. I was told they were waiting on the state of Kansas. My case was escalated for review. Fast forward to March 17th 2025, I called to check the status of my case and spoke with a rep by the name of "Anesia" (not sure if this is the correct spelling because she refused to confirm it for me, all she kept doing was apologizing for the inconvenience. I asked to speak with a supervisor to address my concerns and was told she was unable to get me a supervisor. I asked her to provide me with the phone number to Corporate, and was told she does not have a contact number for Corporate. Instead, the rep provided me with 214.257.8686 which is the same number I called to reach her, only to be placed on hold for an extremely long amount of time. This place is a joke ( be aware of this healthcare staffing Agencies I sign up for this place to be a traveling STNA and to get paid when done because the healthcare field doesn't like to pay their employees. This is why a lot of healthcare workers are leaving the healthcare field. I am leaving. I've have done it for 25 years and I've loved helping the residence but I will not help these nursing homes any longer they don't like to pay their employees. Shiftkey doesn't like to pay their employees. Also they don't have your back here. I've been contacting them all morning trying to get help to resolve my pay. I went to a place called Kingston of Ashland that was very racist and they did not want to pay me.
