Recently went in to get my windows tinted for my 2008 Nissan Frontier, and i have prior knowledge with tinting so i know what is good and what is bad, so i did some research in the oceanside area for local tint shops with the best quality film and warranty along with price, i called shield-x 2nd and i talked to a guy named lee and he told me about the film, warranty, and price and i scheduled an appointment for the same day because they obviously knew what they were talking about! I came in later that day for my appointment and the first things i noticed were is the shop looked like a REAL DEAL tint shop, the employees were very nice and informative telling me my car would be done in between 1-3 hours so i dropped the car off and said call me when its done, they called me 1 hour an a half later so it was alot faster then i expected and i am very pleased with this QUALITY shop! Overal the tint job looked AWESOME with absolutly nothing wrong except a suburb tint job.. Shield-X is definately getting all my business and i will forsure recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for a great tint job! Thanks you guys for your awesome service!!! read more

I'm long time costumer to this company. I am amazed and shocked how good they do because that's what they been doing it for long time. It takes time to earn trust that they will not fool me by playing games. As I recall my very first time. I wanted to tint my windows because the car had no tint what so ever and since here during in summer gets warm and hot, so you need something to block and keep cool inside your car. So I was driving by and decided. "Why not give it a shot here and see how legit they are?". So I stopped and asked for price. The price they quoted me was very funny at first (amazing price) so we agreed on it. I waited maybe 35 min or so to get my whole car windows tinted. When I saw the results, I was amazed by it. It was precious job done with legit and good price. I have nothing else to say just if you are looking for good, well done and short time, then you know where to go. Shield-X !! Thank you Owner for amazing job done even I came back today to do minor repair on different car that i own still turned out like it's nothing there. Keep up good work you guys and looking in the future to make business with you guys! read more

do not use shield x the company has been sold to foreigners who barley speak english and have no liscenced installers the automotive replacement glass industry is highly regulated by federal motor vehicle saftey standards the windshield is the structural integrity of your car the airbags rely on the windshield to properly protect the occupants in the car if the windshield is not correctly installed ( can be something as simple as one missed step) then upon impact in a collision the airbags will launch the windshield 200 feet away from the car and the occupants could follow it is for that reason that all auto glass installers should be certified as a proffessional in the trade there are too many reasons this should be left to proffessionals and not just people trying to make a quick buck your saftey is paramount and unskilled and unliscenced companies like this need to go away read more

Its hard to find time to go get something like this done with a busy schedule. Today i was off a little early so i took advantage of the opportunity. I did a little bit of research last night found a place, but what I didn't see was that they were closed Mondays. Disappointed I pulled out my phone and did another search and i found Shield-x. I took a drive there and as i walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff. Being a walk in, I was surprised they were able to get to me the same day, but they did. They explained that there were some cars ahead of me and would be able to get to me soon. They got the job done quickly and i am impressed with the work. Thank you for working on my truck the windows look great! Also enjoy the company of the dog hanging around! Came up to me for some pets and took a nap at my feet. read more

A tint place you can trust! For weeks I was trying to find the right place to get my Mini cooper tinted. After numerous outrageous quotes and shady car stereo tint installers (almost all claimed to use premium film, but never had what the said in stock) I found Shield-x. Not only are they honorable and trustworthy, but the quality of their work is OUTSTANDING! They only use Suntek window film, (which includes a lifetime warranty card) so you know you're getting quality film. On top of everything else, their customer service is top notch, every question or concern was resolved. This is the second time I have returned to them to tint my new Lexus Without saying, I'll will continue going to Shield-x for my car tint from now on! Awesome! read more

I was looking for a good place to get my windows tinted and of course I went straight to yelp to look at local businesses . This was the only place with good reviews . I called and asked if I could do a walk in and he said sure come on by. I sat there with my son and he played with his dog, we watched tv and had a pleasant time waiting . My son kept wanting to go see our "new car" so we went to go look and the guy had told us we could come into his garage and watch if we'd like. He did an amazing job! He also went out of his way and fixed the weatherstripping on my door. He was so kind, caring and gentle with the work he did. I'd definitely recommend this business ! read more

First the Good: Clean shop, friendly service, nice waiting room and reasonable prices. Now the not so good: Was quoted an out the door price for new windshield including new moldings but they tried to charge extra for the molding. They accidentally cut the speaker hands free microphone wire removing the windshield. No problem, everyone makes mistakes but they hid what they did instead of telling us and let us leave without the hands free cell phone speaker working. Would have been a 5 star review if they simply would have been honest and told us they cut it and didn't know how to fix it. Would I use them again? Probably not. read more

Hello everyone my name is Dr. Jonathan Dean. Recently, I purchased a 2019 Honda accord LX. When I purchased the vehicle, it did not have window tint and I knew I needed it. I was referred to Shield X by a good friend of mine ( I owe him a huge thank you). Not only was the service professionally done, it was cost effective. Moreover, the owners were very warm, inviting and informative. Honestly LOL, this was my first time ever getting a vehicle tinted. This was a very positive experience and I will also refer family and friends to Shield X. Respectfully, Dr. Jonathan Dean, PsyD read more

I have been coming to shield x for every car I've owned. Amazing service and the product lasts for years. No bubbles and everything is done super professionally. Value for the price is amazing as well since I still shop around to see what everyone else is charging. But I keep coming back because I've seen the quality of their work and they're also super quick. Comfortable waiting area if you want to stick around, also great restaurants in the same plaza if you don't want to wait around. Best auto tinting in Oceansid, CA. read more

Got some shopping done while they worked. The price was amazing and my cars look perfect. The owners where so nice and I got to cuddle with their pup for a bit. If I ever need a car done again I'm definitely coming back. 5 stars in my book and will recommend them to my family and friends. Thanks again read more

Created account just to shout out to them. Loved how they top notched my car with all around window tint and full tail light tint on my jeep. Probably the best deal I could have got in Oceanside and best completion. I got 15% front and 5% on the back, taillight I had 5% all around. I think this suits best tint combo among different shades. Not to dark on the front but still keeps the sun out and fully limo on the back. They also had killing lobby so overall, I loved it. read more

I have been getting my car windows tinted and all my windshields from Jay and Nan for many years. I even had a 63 T-Bird up in Northern California and couldn't find one for a reasonable price. She found me one for an amazing price, shipping included to an installer up there. Their tint work is superior bar none, and the most reasonably priced I've found. I bring all my cars, new and old, for windshields and tinting. I recommend them to everyone. read more
